Cancún’s all-inclusive resorts take the guesswork out of budgeting and planning. They offer a convenient package for enjoying one of Mexico’s most famous destinations. Below, we collected a few top options recommended by Fora travel advisors, and answer common questions — like how Cancún’s all-inclusives stack up against its regular resorts and hotels.
Atelier Playa Mujeres

Atelier Playa Mujeres stands out from ordinary all-inclusive resorts, offering a stay more on par with Cancún’s most luxurious hotels. The property has suites with balcony views of the Caribbean, Playa Mujeres’ golf course or the surrounding jungle. Even the standard suites are spacious and thoughtfully designed. But the Inspira Suites, Atelier’s best option, include lavishly decorated rooms with extras like a rolling minibar filled with top-shelf spirits, a complimentary treatment at the resort’s spa and butler service.
“The Inspira Suites are worth the upgrade, offering a dream-like experience,” Fora Advisor Paula Anning said. “I loved the unique, covered-yet-open-air hallways with dramatic architecture and landscaping — it is magical!”
Atelier has over a dozen restaurants — plus another dozen bars and lounges — with menus ranging from local Mexican to Mediterranean and Japanese. Options include everything from casual bites to formal table settings, as well as indoor and outdoor venues.
“The dining options were exceptional, and the craft cocktails rivaled the best bars in LA,” Paula said. “Overall, it was a perfect blend of unique luxury and creativity — unlike any other all-inclusive I have seen before.”
Fora’s Preferred Platinum perks include a $100 resort credit, a welcome amenity, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.
Finest Playa Mujeres

If you’re visiting Cancún with your family, Finest Playa Mujeres earned praise among Fora Advisors as a top all-inclusive family resort in Mexico. Highlights include a clean and safe beach, modern aesthetic — the property is fresh and chic — and moderate price point.
“Finest Playa Mujeres is for families who want an all-inclusive experience without sacrificing quality in service or battling lines at the buffet,” Fora X Advisor Joanna Johnsen said.
There’s a kids’ club for children ages three and up, a small waterpark and an excellent selection of à la carte restaurants and cocktail bars.
“One of my favorite family-friendly features is the Imagine Lounge, located by the restaurants and staffed by the kids’ club employees,” she said, explaining that the lounge allows parents to drop off their little ones for supervised fun so they can enjoy their meals — formal or otherwise — in peace.
“My clients have had nothing but positive feedback on the property and its service,” Fora Advisor Shrinal Patel added.
TRS Coral Hotel

TRS Coral — the site for the second season of Love is Blind — is an adults-only resort also found in Cancún’s Playa Mujeres area. Rooms and suites are housed in low structures surrounding a massive, crescent-shaped manmade lagoon as well as individual pool complexes catering to different wants (plunge pools for cooling off, hot tubs for unwinding, swim-up bars). The design offers privacy from the outside world no matter which room type you choose. The best rooms and suites, however, also provide butler service, immediate beach access and options for private jacuzzi terraces.
“TRS Coral is a great option for travelers that want their relaxation balanced with a dose of activity (to burn some calories from all the delicious food and margaritas!),” Fora Advisor Heather Budd said.
She highlighted the on-site Rafa Nadal Tennis Center that offers lessons. Also take advantage of the resort’s dance classes, live music performances and even cabaret dinner shows.
Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva Cancun

Hyatt Zilara Cancun is an adults- and suites-only resort in Cancún’s buzzing Hotel Zone. The resort, however, has a quieter, more intimate vibe — except at night, when live music and other entertainment livens up the setting. Suites include in-room hot tubs, balconies and swim-up access. Choose from six restaurants and five bars (a local tequila bar, an upscale sports bar, a swim-up bar). All non-motorized activities are included in the all-inclusive rate. If you prefer a family-friendly adventure, nearby Hyatt Ziva Cancun offers a similar set of amenities along with kids’ and teens’ clubs, restaurants and a wider range of room options catering to different budgets.
Fora’s Hyatt Privé partner perks include a $100 resort credit, a welcome amenity, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.
Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun

Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun is another adults-only option in the Hotel Zone. It’s a smaller property, trading size for an intimate atmosphere. A top-of-the-line spa specializes in Swedish and Mayan-inspired treatments for couples or solo travelers. There are six restaurants, each exploring a different corner of the world, along with several bars. Activities on the property have a wellness focus, and include things like paddleboard yoga — a challenging exercise in balance — and functional training.
Fora Perks include complimentary air and concierge services.
Cancún all-inclusive resort and general travel FAQs
Here’s more information on Cancún and its all-inclusive resorts.
Are all-inclusive resorts your best option?
If you care more about convenience and love the idea of an experience where everything is included in one neat package, Cancún’s all-inclusive resorts are excellent. If you prefer to venture beyond the resort, try local flavors in an authentic setting and take more of a spontaneous approach, normal resorts are the better option.
You’re more likely to find the best accommodations at a normal resort. Many of Cancún’s beachfront resorts, for example, are masterclasses in style, service and gastronomy. That’s not to say that all-inclusive resorts in the area aren’t luxurious — many are (especially Atelier Playa Mujeres), but these properties are the exception rather than the norm, and fill up quickly.
When’s the best time to stay at an all-inclusive resort in Cancún?

“I could make the argument that any time you need a quick, easy beach vacation is the best time to visit Cancún,” Joanna said. “But my favorite times of year for perfect weather are February through May, and if you want to avoid the spring break crowds, go with May!”
Our article on the best time to visit Cancún answers this question thoroughly, but if you’re visiting for the best weather, visit between December and April. This period does come with a premium price tag, however. If more approachable rates are important, many all-inclusive resorts offer discounts and special promotions between May and November. Keep in mind that hurricane season peaks between August and October (opting for travel insurance is wise).
How much do all-inclusive resorts in Cancún cost?
On average, expect to pay around $1,500–$2,500 per person for a weeklong stay at a Cancún all-inclusive resort ($3,000–$5,000 total). You may pay more during peak travel season and considerably less during the off-season. Your choice of accommodations, all-inclusive options and flights (some resorts include this in the total) will also affect the cost.
How do all-inclusive resorts in Cancún compare to those in Riviera Maya?
Cancún resorts, all-inclusive and otherwise, bring a high-energy, urban vibe that appeals to those looking for constant activity and social engagement. Riviera Maya resorts offer a more intimate, nature-infused retreat with access to quieter beaches, cenotes and nearby Mayan cultural sites. Both areas offer a range of options.
