Well, Parallel is that place! And what’s a trip without some great food spots? It’s a must, so I picked two of my favorite spots along the way, to include as part of this short weekend getaway.

Here is a two-week guide to exploring the Central Visayas, which includes popular destinations such as Cebu, Bohol, Panglao and the less traveled Siquijor.

Coron is another popular tourist destination located in the province of Palawan in the Philippines. It is known for its crystal-clear waters, stunning coral reefs, and World War II shipwrecks that attract divers from around the world. Coron also boasts beautiful limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons, and picturesque lakes that make it a favorite destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. This is the second part of my island hopping itinerary through Palawan.

I was thrilled to be invited to a wedding on the beautiful island of Boracay in the Philippines. Having to take the long flight out there, I wanted to make the most out of my trip and thus chose to fulfill my long-held dream of learning to scuba dive. Coron, in particular, is perfect for first-time divers due to its clear waters, diverse marine life, and numerous beginner-friendly dive sites. The vibrant coral reefs and historic shipwrecks provide a captivating underwater experience that is both safe and unforgettable for newcomers and experienced divers alike. Furthermore, the serene, secluded accommodations allowed me to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and truly relax.

Boracay is the perfect island for a birthday trip or a weekend between friends to party and relax. The island has a great vibe with lots of cool dining and drinking spots and dozens of water activities. But among all, Boracay is famous for her transparent blue water all over the island that you can discover through different island-hopping trips. If you want to get away from the buzz, you can easily retreat to the north of the island, just 30 minutes from the city. In the north, you can chill on a hidden beach or in a luxury resort. The island has something to offer for everyone it just depends on the experience you are looking for. It is one of the most famous destinations in the Philippines and definitely a must-visit at least once.

When most picture the Philippines, they think picturesque limestone cliffs, lush jungles, enchanting lagoons and crystal-clear waters AND that is exactly what the island of Palawan offers. The province, located on the western side of the country is home to some of the most breathtaking destinations in the world, including El Nido, Coron, and Puerto Princesa, each offering unique experiences for visitors. El Nido is a popular tourist destination and is also a gateway to the Bacuit Archipelago, which is home to numerous small islands and islets that are perfect for island hopping and snorkeling. The area is a popular destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful tropical setting.

Siargao is one of the Philippine’s prime destinations, located in the southern part of Mindanao. It is known as the “Surfing Capital” of the Philippines with its very famous Cloud 9 spot. The island is a paradise for adventure and nature lovers with a wide range of activities, including surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and diving. But most of all, Siargao has a reputation for great dining spots, from locally sourced ingredients to Asian fusion or trendy new bars, and I will be sharing all my tips in this article.
