A Morocco Atlas Mountains Excursion Is Sure to Be A Trip Highlight

Curated by
Zoe Schaeffer
An excursion to the Morocco Atlas Mountains was truly bucket list moment that I've dreamed about. The magical blend of experiencing a mountain top village, homemade food, a local family, and a spiritual Call to Prayer was something that is hard to capture in words. The Morocco Atlas Mountains are the ultimate add-on to any Marrakesh adventure as it adds an authentic quality that feels un-touched by tourism.

Morocco in January: The Perfect Winter Getaway

Curated by
Nicole Campoy Jackson
Without question, Morocco should be on your winter getaway radar. First, the weather is gorgeous. Second, crowds are thinner than during high season. Third, if you do it right, you can be just as revived and restored as your friends who took to the Caribbean chasing the winter sun, but with better souvenirs. Bonus: it is also safer and more welcoming than you may be thinking. Yalla!

5 Fabulous Days in Marrakech, Morocco

Curated by
Angela Marini
Marrakech is one of the most unique places I have ever visited. It is like living in two worlds- both past and present. This amazing city was once a vacation destination for mostly Europeans but Americans have finally caught on to everything this city has to offer. Morocco as a whole has so much to offer for every type of traveler and Marrakech is a perfect stop to make a part of your holiday. Whether camel riding in the desert, shopping at the Medina, or laying by the beautiful pools there is just something for everyone. Immersed in a culture that teaches about patience, love and tolerance- it just keeps on giving. Every moment a learning experience and every day a wonder. It is no coincidence that this little country in Northern Africa has taken the world by storm and it is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Morocco is an amazing country with so much beauty and culture to offer! Spend your week getting lost exploring the vibrant and unique city of Marrakech, venturing out to the Agafay desert and recharging in the Atlas mountains. Morocco has something to offer every type of traveler. It's a great place to visit for the food, culture, architecture, shopping or even natural landscapes and excursions. While one week in Morocco is not enough to see it all, it will give you a great flavor and leave you wanting more. Next on my personal Morocco bucket list: Fez, Essaouira and Dar Ahlam!

Magical Oasis in the Desert: A Family-Friendly Guide to Marrakech

Curated by
Tarika Richter
Marrakech is a magical oasis in the desert just waiting for you to discover it. Stay within the walls of "The Red City" to experience the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Get lost in the maze of the souks, and explore ornate palaces. Around every corner, there are treasures to discover. Marrakech is vibrant and full of life; make your way down to Jemaa el-Fnaa to be entertained by street musicians and snake charmers, just don't get hustled. To escape the heat or to give the little ones a break, stop by a rooftop restaurant to enjoy a refreshing drink with views of Koutoubia Mosque and Atlas Mountains. It's hard not to be mesmerized by all things in Marrakech—the energy, the people and culture are warm and welcoming, especially those traveling with children. Enjoy!
