Agra, India is well-known for being the home of the famous Taj Mahal. As part of the popular Golden Triangle tourist circuit of India, many visitors come to see the Taj Mahal and then leave without seeing the any other local sites. While Agra has fewer attractions than the other two Golden Triangle cities, Agra also has a different feel and culture that makes slowing down and experiencing it worthwhile.

South Indian temples are architectural marvels, known for their towering gopurams (gateway towers), intricate carvings and richly adorned sanctuaries. These temples reflect the Dravidian style of architecture and are awe-inspiring, with their massive pillars, carvings and elaborate sculptures.

India was a bucket-list trip for me. When I had the opportunity to go on a hosted FAM trip as a travel advisor, I jumped at the opportunity. This 2-week luxury tour did not disappoint. This trip combined the best of local culture, curated activities and amazing food with high-end luxury accommodations. The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are one of the most pristine, untouched parts of India. Situated in the middle of India & Thailand, there are miles of gorgeous beaches with mangroves in the background and some of the most stunning marine life. This place is a paradise for scuba divers and snorkeling too.

This past year I had the honor of staying (& getting married) at the incredible crimson and cream palace that is Villa Palladio. As a lover of maximalist interior design, I greatly admire Marie-Anne Oujedans, whose imagination is unlike anyone else. Together with Barbara Miolini, the duo have brought to life four stunning properties in Jaipur: Café Palladio, Bar Palladio, Polo Palladio and Villa Palladio. All exude a harmonious blend of Italian elegance and Indian opulence. I kept a close watch on the property as it was being finished. When my husband and I decided to elope, I knew it would be the most incredible place to do just that! We were lucky enough to have the country estate to ourselves for two full days there to take it all in. Here is a bit about this special place and our unforgettable stay.

It had always been such a dream of mine to visit India. Despite its contrasts, Mumbai is a city that pulsates with life and energy. It's a place where you can experience everything from luxury shopping to street food stalls, from ancient temples to Bollywood movie sets. So, if you're looking for a city that will challenge your senses and leave you with lasting memories, Mumbai is definitely worth a visit.

After eloping in India, my husband and I wanted somewhere special to soak it all in — and honestly, I don’t think we could have picked a more magical place than Taj Lake Palace, a destination in and of itself.
