St. Thomas is an excellent destination for a family holiday in the US Virgin Islands. This Caribbean cove is privy to nature’s best, offering plenty of things to do on land and at sea. While staying on St. Thomas, it's also convenient to island-hop with easy ferry rides from one island to another. You can quickly go over to St. John to spend the day, shop some duty-free and enjoy the paradisical beaches.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this luxurious resort caters to guests of all ages, making it a perfect destination for families.

St. Croix has a great mix of adventure and relaxation, all while taking in some history lessons. This island is one of the US Virgin Islands, so US travelers don't need to worry about a passport, yet driving is done on the left-hand side - one of the many surprising discoveries that can be explained by the island's history. It is a history that includes a visit by Christopher Columbus. Largely still undeveloped, St. Croix has many gems to be discovered. Whether you hike to the tidal pools along the northern shore, go snorkeling at Buck Island Reef National Monument or kayak at a bioluminescent bay, you are guaranteed to enjoy this island.

I recently had an opportunity to catch a flight to visit friends in St Croix, located in the United States Virgin Islands. The largest of the unincorporated territories of the United States, the island and the locals will sure welcome you with open arms! My mainstay was on the Island of St Croix, USVI. However, we did take the opportunity to catch a commuter plane over to St Thomas, USVI. We then took the ferry over to St John, USVI, which gave us a unique experience of seeing all three islands in one trip.

Having grown up in Saint Thomas and visiting often, I have the perfect spots to see and enjoy from a "local's" perspective. The beauty of the Virgin Islands is the ease of travel, no passports and some of the bluest water you will ever see in your life. For those wanting to explore, there are great historical sites such as Fort Christian, Blackbeard's Castle and the 99 Steps. Nightlife is great and it is a foodie paradise! Shopping is another great perk of being duty-free! Saint Thomas is a perfect destination for families, couples, groups or a friend getaway!

St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands was the perfect location for an unforgettable girls' trip to celebrate a friend's bachelorette party in April 2024. The island's vibrant culture, stunning beaches and clear turquoise waters provided an ideal backdrop for our short three-day getaway. Staying in St. Thomas, we made the most of our time with day trips to the nearby paradises of St. John and Jost Van Dyke. Despite the destination's reputation as a high-end luxury escape, we carefully planned and split costs, which allowed us to indulge in the island's beauty and experiences without breaking the bank. The combination of breathtaking scenery and cherished moments with friends made this trip truly special.
