From pro-level golf courses to hidden limestone caves, Bermuda offers something for everyone.

Bermuda Engagementmoon: A Celebratory Tropical Getaway for Two

Hannah Lucas
In 2019, the morning after I got engaged at one of our favorite parks in NYC, my then-fiancé told me to pack a suitcase because we were going on a weekend getaway to Bermuda that evening. To say I was surprised was an understatement, and ever since this trip has been dubbed our “engagementmoon” by friends and family members who have employed the same plan. Who says celebratory trips have to be reserved for babymoons and honeymoons?! After a more recent visit in July of 2024, I realized just how much this island offers for repeat visitors and knew I had to share our itinerary.
Bermuda, an island paradise, is a more realistic weekend getaway than you think. It is just a 90-minute flight from JFK and offers direct flights from major airports along the East Coast, which means it is perfect for celebratory trips, quick getaways or even family trips where you can avoid the dreaded long-haul flights and layovers. For first-time visitors, you can get a great sense of the place in just 2–3 days, and for those who have been here many times, read on for some of the latest and greatest discoveries from our recent trip.

Smooth Sailing: A 6-Night MSC Meraviglia Cruise to Bermuda

Curated by

In September of 2023, I took a 6-night cruise with friends and family to Bermuda on the MSC Meraviglia. Bermuda, for its pristine beaches and serene beauty, along with the cruise line are both highly recommended for either couples or families. MSC is recommended for its comfort and the wealth of experiences it delivers at great value. The staff were proactive and took kindly to one-off requests. The ship’s program included a diverse cuisine, great entertainment, and family activities to keep all ages engaged. I would take an MSC cruise again and highly recommend it to my clients.
