Having personally honeymooned in Curaçao, I fell in love with this charming Caribbean Island located off the coast of Argentina among the ABC Islands — Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. This Dutch island is full of culture and incredible dining, as well as some of the most beautiful beaches in all of the Caribbean. Situated outside the hurricane belt, Curaçao is the perfect destination for late-summer and fall honeymoons.

I’ve had the privilege of exploring countless destinations around the world, but few have captured my heart quite like the Southern Caribbean. This recent 11-night cruise on the Celebrity Beyond through Grand Cayman, Cartagena, Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire was nothing short of magical. Each port offered its own unique charm, rich history and unforgettable experiences.

Adults-only and all-inclusive in the Dutch Caribbean? That's Sandals Royal Curacao for you. In June 2024, I had the pleasure of staying at the relatively new Sandals Royal Curacao. The 11 incredible restaurants, gorgeous infinity pool, modern rooms, fun entertainment and Dutch Caribbean flair quickly made this one of my favorite Sandals properties. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it for couples, honeymooners and fun groups alike.

Curaçao is an incredibly diverse island offering a blend of beautiful coves with crystal clear waters, a fascinating history and art scene, and delicious culinary options with a mix of Caribbean and Dutch offerings. It’s the perfect girls long weekend or couples getaway! Stay at your hotel to enjoy the beach activities or rent a car and explore the west end. Dushi!

I spent a week on Curaçao celebrating a milestone birthday. Because my birthday is in early September, we always have to think about whether hurricanes will impact our Caribbean trips. The beauty of the Netherlands Antilles (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao) is that they are outside the hurricane belt and are safe bets anytime of the year. While each island is beautiful and unique, Curaçao distinguishes itself with its unique character and cultural charm. The island's less-crowded beaches, diverse underwater landscapes and vibrant arts scene provide a laid-back and authentic experience. This sets Curaçao apart from other islands as a special destination with its own captivating identity. Whether diving into the vibrant coral reefs, strolling through the colorful streets of Willemstad or savoring the diverse culinary offerings, Curaçao invites visitors to experience a fun fusion of Caribbean warmth and Dutch influence, making it a truly exceptional and unforgettable destination.

Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao make up the ABC islands, they're wonderful to visit by cruise because they offer such a wide variety of experiences! Aruba boasts wide white-sand beaches and crystal clear waters with vibrant resorts and delicious restaurants. Bonaire is a far more untouched island experience known for its world-class snorkeling and diving. Curaçao showcases its Dutch heritage beautifully, while distinguishing itself with its own island culture.

Curaçao is part of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) near the coast of Venezuela. The island boasts an incredible food scene and nature activities. Being outside the hurricane belt, you can visit the island year round, though the best times are January through March when the trade winds are in full swing. I highly recommend a visit to this island if you enjoy off-the-beaten-path travel.

Curaçao is a wonderful place to visit. It's easy to get to with non-stop flights from the United States, and an airport that is not far from the beaches. It has gorgeous clear blue waters where you can snorkel right from the beach of your hotel. We enjoyed chatting with the locals and loved being able to walk to so many delicious restaurants. Though, of course, we enjoyed drinking colorful concoctions featuring the iconic blue Curaçao liquor.
