At night, join fellow party-goers along the Danube Canal's beach bars or nightclubs.

Vienna Vignettes: Hidden Gems & Iconic Landmarks

Curated by
Noelle Rudloff
In June of 2024, I spent an immersive week in Vienna with the Vienna Tourism Board, getting to know this amazing city and visiting the typical tourist attractions, along with many hidden gems. What I learned is that Vienna should quickly move to the top of everyone’s must-visit list. It is elegant and sophisticated, yet maintains a warmth and friendliness not often experienced in many European cities. A walk through the streets is a walk through a living and incredibly beautiful museum. An excellent alternative to Paris or Rome.

Anyone who has been to Vienna can tell you there is something magical about the city. The architecture alone shows how it used to be the cultural epicenter of Europe for decades. Between the numerous museums with iconic collections and the impressive palaces, you will never run out of awe inspiring activities in Vienna. The walkable nature of the city lets the average tourist explore everything by foot while being able to pop into any of the city's iconic cafes or restaurants.

There is something romantic and historic about traveling city-to-city in Europe by sleeper train. It's also efficient, sustainable and comfortable. The experience might just be a highlight of your trip. We're living in a true renaissance for overnight train lovers, as low-cost carriers recently threatened to eliminate sleepers entirely. Now, new routes are flourishing, classic city pairs are back and train operators are investing in state-of-the-art train cars with smart amenities and modern touches. Driven by a loyal fan base and an important focus on sustainability, you'll find getting from capital to capital super easy, and a perfect addition to your European journey.

In November of 2023, I did a site inspection while visiting the beautiful North Shore of Oahu! When I say this resort has it all, I mean it. Between the incredible excursions the resort offers, the property exuding Hawaiian culture, and the attention to detail, I cannot recommend this property enough.

Imagine trading the waves for bright snowy landscapes, cozy fireplaces, and the enchanting beauty of winter. From bustling resorts to intimate chalets. Whether you're detoxing in a sauna, soaking in a hot tub with snowflakes gently falling, or embarking on adrenaline-pumping winter excursions, these resorts redefine the concept of all-inclusive luxury.

A Coffee Lover's Guide to Vienna, Austria

Curated by
Nathan Mitchell
After dozens of trips to Vienna and due to the city’s robust coffee culture, I can say with the utmost conviction that it is my favorite destination in the world to overcome jet lag. There are a few Starbucks locations scattered about, but the REAL Viennese cafés date back to the 1800s in many cases and are integral to the local culture. In addition to the affinity for caffeine, Vienna was the heartbeat of the Habsburg monarchy, capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire for centuries and has been a cultural and artistic epicenter for as long. The Austrian capital’s history and lifestyle make it one of the most enjoyable cities to visit in all of Europe.
