Family-Friendly 9-Day Botswana Safari

Curated by
Gray Grandy
The diversity in safari type in Botswana is second to none. You can take a boat on the Chobe River and watch elephants swim from bank to bank, trek through the bush on a walking safari, ride a Mokoro on the Okavanga Delta and of course, ride in a traditional safari vehicle while searching for the big five! With the right support, it is the perfect spot to take a family for their first safari experience.

Best of Egypt: Cairo with Nile Cruise

Curated by
Jeff Willy
Ancient Egypt is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a rich history ranging from the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo to a variety of archaeological wonders along the Nile in cities such as Luxor and Aswan. Egypt has almost perfect weather year round, and can accommodate almost any budget. Interested in this guide or a custom one to fit your needs and travel style? Feel free to reach out!

Kenya and Tanzania: The Great Migration Safari

Curated by
Jeff Willy
The Great Migration is by far one of the most magnificent wildlife phenomena to experience in all of Africa. Every year, over two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle migrate in a clockwise motion from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara in Kenya, creating a circular migratory pattern across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem that attracts an abundance of predators. Experience the migration both through daily game drives and in the air in a luxurious hot air balloon safari. This itinerary starts in Nairobi where you will fly to Maasai Mara Reserve before crossing into Tanzania to experience the heart of the migration in Serengeti. You will then make your way south to the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park, where many of the animals give birth before ending in Arusha (near Mt. Kilimanjaro.)

Trip Report JW Marriott Masai Mara

In 2023 my husband and I were both celebrating milestone birthdays (40 & 45). I wanted to celebrate by visiting an epic destination! He had never been on a Safari, so I thought this would be a great way to celebrate our birthdays together. This property exceeded all of our expectations by making everything so special for us. From the moment we stepped foot on the dirt airstrip the service was phenomenal.

Once in a Lifetime Family Adventure to Luxor, Egypt

Curated by
Lisa Van Brunt
My twins have been studying Ancient Egypt in school and I decided to capitalize on their excitement and booked our spring break trip to Egypt. Egypt is consistently ranked on travel top 10 lists as an "up and coming" destination, and it did not disappoint! Luxor is known as the world's open air market, is rich with history that appeals to kids and adults alike, and is an essential stop on any Egyptian itinerary. Luxor is located just a short flight from Cairo in the north, Aswan in the south or there are direct flights from many European cities. Many Nile cruises start or end in Luxor.

Hidden Gems of Nairobi

Curated by
Megan Daly
While many view Nairobi as an overnight pitstop location en route to safari destinations throughout Kenya and beyond, Nairobi is a diverse, energetic city with tons to do. I've been lucky enough to visit multiple times (my old college roommate lives there) and explored through the eyes of a local.

I recently spent two weeks in Egypt, a country I had been dying to visit for many years! I started the trip in Cairo and slowly worked my way down the country, ending my trip on a high note with a weekend stay in the coastal city of El Gouna. My two-night stay at La Maison Bleue was nothing short of magic. This blue-washed luxury guesthouse was idyllic, tranquil and romantic — I cannot wait to return!

Picking the Perfect African Safari

Curated by
Scott Dubois
When booking your first African safari, legendary names like Serengeti and Kruger often come to mind — and these are both incredible destinations. However, Africa is a massive place and I don't subscribe to the idea of a starter safari. There are a plethora of choices on where to go based on your budget and other interests, so I created this destination guide as a starting point to help you find the safari that best fits your travel style.
