I feel that a vacation needs balance, just like life. A little bit of adventure pairs well with relaxing by the pool every once in a while. Traveling is about new experiences with loved ones and creating memories that we can hold onto forever.
I currently work as an ICU nurse but I have a passion for travel. Traveling the world with my husband and family helped me with burnout in my career after working the pandemic and I taught me how valuable vacation is for physical and mental health. I attribute my OCD, organization, and multi-tasking skills to being a nurse. Something I have taken away from my patients and families is, they never regret the memories and the happy moments with family. They regret the trips they never got to take and time missed with loved ones. I have come to realize that we are never promised tomorrow. So I leave you with these words, take the damn trip and create those core memories that will travel with you forever!
