My Story
Leveraging my experience of living between Europe and the Middle East for 15 years to find that sweet spot between off-the-beaten-path and luxury.
My Travel Style
I'm the most excited about discovering places that people are typically less curious to visit. Eritrea, Tajikistan, Mongolia, and Bhutan have been some of my favorites! My two musts while traveling are eating and sleeping well. I enjoy finding quirky boutique hotels that can deliver a more localized experience with an edge of luxury. I’ve visited 101 countries (and counting!), spent nine years living in the Middle East and six in Europe, and have traveled widely through Asia, Europe, and Africa, so my travel recommendations come from personal experience, not Google.

She makes the whole process so easy and stress-free, and always finds great options that fit exactly what I’m looking for. I highly recommend booking through her — you’ll get great service, personalized attention, and peace of mind knowing everything is taken care of.

Cassidy is a star! She helped us to organize a perfect vacation in Naples, and took care of all the extra planning aspects we needed as we traveled with a little baby. Thank you, Cassidy! Will definitely work with you again!

Cassidy was so helpful with booking! She got us the best rate and made sure the room was set up for the baby. She even went the extra mile to find out that we could bring our cat to the hotel which just made the trip so much better!

5 Days in Astana, Kazakhstan
Astana isn’t just a capital city filled with futuristic architecture—it’s a reflection of Kazakhstan’s vision for itself. In just a few decades, the country has forged a modern identity that blends tradition with progress, creating a safe and welcoming space for visitors of all backgrounds. The city’s very design, with its striking mosques, soaring towers, and the symbolic Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, shows Kazakhstan’s commitment to dialogue, inclusivity, and forward thinking. While very different from Almaty, the country's cultural capital, a visit to Kazakhstan is not complete without spending time in Astana.

Discover Rajasthan: Five Days in Jodhpur, India
Jodhpur holds a special place in my heart. I first visited Rajasthan over a decade ago, exploring the palaces and sights of Jaipur, but I always felt drawn to Jodhpur — curious about its rich equestrian heritage and the legendary Marwari horses I’d read about. When I finally made it here, the city exceeded every expectation. The deep indigo tones of the old city seemed to glow under the desert sun, wrapping each narrow alley in a kind of magic. Towering above it all, Mehrangarh Fort tells centuries of history through its ramparts and galleries, while intricate carvings and colorful frescoes echo the artistry of generations past. But what truly made Jodhpur unforgettable for me were its warm, welcoming people and the food — bold, flavorful and rooted in tradition. I curated this itinerary as a guide to explore the city's marvels but also indulge in its splendor.

Intro to Tajikistan: Dushanbe, Iskanderkul and Shirkent Dinosaur Hiking
Tajikistan is such a unique melting pot - it’s a curious mix of Soviet, Persian and Turkic influences. Its capital, Dushanbe, has all the trappings of a world renowned city- massive museums, wide avenues, verdant parks, gold gilded statues- without the population of one. Dushanbe’s name comes from its past legacy as the location of Monday markets, and this down-to-earth feeling still remains despite the grandiose accents. Outside the city, Iskanderkul is the most beautiful lake I’ve ever seen- and I’ve seen a lot of lakes! It’s worth spending a day or two outside the city to get a sense of Tajikistan’s landscapes and the culture found in its rural areas.

9 Days in Uzbekistan: The Ultimate Guide
Uzbekistan is a Silk Road gem, filled with history, architecture and the confluence of cultures that is distinctly Uzbek. While the tourism infrastructure there has developed significantly in the past decade, it still provides travelers the opportunity to feel off the beaten path in a country that feels simultaneously frozen in time and open to the future.

A First-Timer's Guide to Guatape, Colombia
I recently stayed in Guatape for two nights as a side trip from Medellin. The main sights feel like well-established tourist hotspots. But spending extra time in Guatape allows you to see a different side of the area and properly enjoy the beautiful landscape. At night, the fireflies flicker by the shore, and it's really special to curl up with a glass of wine and soak it all in.

Review of Arabian Boutique Hotel, Dubai
I stayed at the Arabian Boutique Hotel on a recent trip to Dubai. This property is a refreshing change from the large-scale resorts and luxury chain hotels that are so prevalent in Dubai. This boutique property is designed with Emirati traditions and heritage in mind. You will have the impression that you're stepping back in time, except with all the modern comforts included in your stay!

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea: The New Frontier of Luxury Travel
I first visited Saudi Arabia in December 2019, as soon as leisure tourism visas opened to the world, and have been watching as tourism in the country has blossomed ever since. Saudi’s Red Sea region is quickly emerging as one of the world's most exciting new travel destinations. With its untouched coastline, pristine coral reefs and breathtaking desert landscapes, the region offers a unique blend of adventure, relaxation and exclusivity. As part of the country’s ambitious Red Sea Global initiative, a collection of ultra-luxurious resorts has recently opened, each designed to offer world-class hospitality while embracing sustainability and the region’s natural beauty. Be one of the first to experience the off-the-beaten-path luxury on offer here!

Highlights of Kazakhstan: From Futuristic Cities to Stunning Landscapes
Kazakhstan, the world's largest landlocked country, is a destination brimming with contrast and beauty. As the Central Asian country with the most developed tourism infrastructure, it’s an excellent starting point if you’re visiting the region for the first time. From its modern cities to its breathtaking natural wonders, this gem has so much to offer beyond its Borat stereotype.

Get Off-The-Beaten-Path in the United Arab Emirates
Dubai is often dismissed as being "like Las Vegas" – a city of glitzy hotels and massive malls. While that may be one side of Dubai, it's not all that Dubai and the UAE have to offer. Outside of Dubai's city center lies a world of rich history, untouched nature and cultural depth waiting to be explored. From the ancient archaeological treasures of Mleiha to the serene coastal retreats of Sharjah, Fujairah, and the islands of Delma and Shuweihat, this guide invites you to discover the UAE’s lesser-known gems and venture off the beaten path.

Top Summer Destinations in Saudi Arabia and Oman
Most people equate the Middle East with hot weather. While it's true that in general the Gulf countries do get pretty hot June–September, there are a few spots in the region that are actually preferable to visit in the middle of summer! I spent nearly a decade living in the Middle East and traveling throughout the region, and these are my top picks for summer visits.

Review of Mountain View Experience in Maras, Peru
I recently stayed at the Mountain View Experience, which is truly a delight to young and old. The glass-walled cabins and communal buildings offer incredible views over the expansive landscapes...but it's the resident llamas, alpacas, horses and donkeys that steal the show, especially when they join you for a soak in the hot tub! Other activities such as ATV riding, horse riding, wine-and-cheese picnics and stargazing are on offer.

Review of Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Hotel in Machu Picchu
I stayed at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge on a recent trip to Peru. It is the only hotel located at the entrance of Machu Picchu, which makes it incredibly convenient for early-morning visit to the ruins and to head back after a long day of hiking. The service is impeccable, with a dedicated concierge checking in on guests throughout their stay. The food is also top-notch and you can enjoy dining in the restaurant or in the comfort of your room, which is stocked with a variety of thoughtful amenities. I was sad to leave and highly recommend it to my clients.

Weekend in Borrego Springs, California
Borrego Springs is an easy two-three hour drive from Los Angeles or San Diego, making it an ideal launching point to explore the Anze Borrego Desert State Park during a weekend away. Hiking, stargazing, art, dive bars, golf and fine dining all coexist in this unique spot!

Two Days in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Central Asia remains one of the least-visited regions in the world. And Kyrgyzstan is one of the more off-the-beaten-path countries in that region. Bishkek, the capital city, features grand government buildings and fountain-filled parks on a grand scale. This is impressive considering the city's population of 1.1 million. Just outside the city limits, visitors are met with incredible views of the Ala-Too mountains and dramatic landscapes of the alpine Ala Archa National Park. Whether you're popping into Bishkek for a weekend trip or starting a longer trip from the capital, here's a roundup of how to fill your time.

48 Hours in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has only recently opened to general tourism, which is such a gift to travelers because there are so many incredible places to visit in this vast country. Jeddah is a lovely antidote to the skyscrapers of the other Gulf cities; instead you’ll find accessible heritage, delicious food and sweets and hospitable locals who are eager to show you their unique city.
