Whenever I mention that the Cook Islands are the most beautiful island destination I have ever seen, people inevitably ask, "Where are they?"

My husband and I have traveled extensively all over the world — more than 60 countries and counting — and we’ve always been in pursuit of the most beautiful ocean waters. So when it came time to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we decided to head to French Polynesia. To say this part of the world is a piece of heaven on Earth is an understatement. We’re talking breathtaking landscapes, including crystal-clear turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, lush green mountains and vibrant coral reefs. And with its romantic setting, luxurious overwater bungalows and world-class dining, it was a perfect backdrop to celebrate our milestone anniversary… we even brought our kid along!

My trip to New Zealand was one of the best trips of my life. Taking a day trip to Waiheke Island for a food and wine tour was, without a doubt, a memorable highlight. In May 2024, I did a site inspection while visiting Niu Beach Hotel on Moorea. I wanted to find a more "budget-friendly" option for clients that wanted to visit French Polynesia, but didn't have the budget for the often pricy overwater bungalows French Polynesia is known for.
