Curator’s statement
It’s possible you’ve heard of the famous “Catalina Wine Mixer” from the movie Stepbrothers. Whether a day trip or quick weekend getaway, Catalina is the perfect spot for some relaxation, panoramic views and good eats. I must say it reminds me a bit of what Cinque Terre in Italy looks like…a bit. You can take a ferry, helicopter or even jet ski across the Pacific to this island! There are many activities such as ziplining, diving, lounging, snorkeling, eating, hiking, biking and so on. I love that visitors are not allowed to rent cars here so rent a golf cart, drive up the hills and explore away.

Places to eat & drink in Catalina Island, California
Eat at the Naughty Fox - Try their ahi poke tacos! Yum! Please try the Lobster BLT, my mouth waters all over again as I write this.
Descanso Beach Club - “Descanso” which translates to “Rest”, is the perfect name for this beach club. It is the only beachside restaurant & bar on the island. Rent a cabana or chair and enjoy a few cocktails on the sand! The Margaritas were SO good!
