About
Five-stars to dive bars. One-ways only. LA to NYC but Chicago-born and a pandemic pause in FL. Where I lay my head is home.
Home airports
LGA for regional. JFK for global.
My travel style
I can go from the beach, to the city, to the mountains and country and even a dark alley, and still have a good time. Full-blown adventure or lay in my hotel all day and check out the spa. High-low budget. A slice of $3 pizza with a $50 glass of champagne. I took a cross-country road trip the day after beating breast cancer during lockdown. I went to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Graceland, the Santa Fe desert, from California all the way to Florida. Nothing will ever stop me from living life to the absolute fullest.
Favorite hotels
Recently returned from:
Stopping over for a night in Iceland.
Wandering around the UK.
Island hopping in Greece.
Catching a one-way to Budapest and flying back into Tampa for $500. I was pretty certain I found the cheapest flight in the entire world at the time.
Dreaming of:
Tokyo.
Back to London and Ireland.
Switzerland and Paris.
Craving the Virgin Islands.
One thing I can't travel without...
Chapstick.
Two truths, one lie:
I got lost all night by myself in Milan when I was young and couldn’t remember the inn where I was staying – a guardian Angel somehow showed me the way to my hotel.
I got a ride home from two Frenchmen on a moto leaving the red carpet premiere of Moulin Rouge at the Cannes Film Festival.
My friend lost her wallet in Athens and we got taken in by a Greek soldier and his family who couldn’t speak English and cooked for us at 3am.
