What’s so interesting about Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca?

With its sleek architecture, world-class amenities and stellar hospitality, Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca is a solid homebase in one of North Africa's most dynamic cities. Since most flights to Morocco from the United States land in Casablanca first, this property is also a solid spot for a soft landing to shake off the jet lag or rest before the long flight home.

Sidenote: the Casablanca hotel isn’t the only Four Seasons property in Morocco. If you’re also looking for more of the best hotels in Marrakech, the Four Seasons Resort there is one of our favorites (especially if you’re visiting Morocco with kids).

While many of the best hotels in Morocco reside near the ancient medinas of imperial cities, in the Atlas Mountains or deep in the Sahara, Four Seasons’ Casablanca hotel sits on a beautiful stretch of the city’s shoreline. In addition to views of the Atlantic, the immediate area offers upscale restaurants, shops and palm-lined boulevards.

The property is also less than 10 minutes from the Hassan II Mosque, the city’s most storied landmark — and only about 15 minutes from the Casablanca Medina.

The interior blends Moroccan touches with contemporary design

Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca will feel familiar if you’ve ever stayed at one of the brand’s properties. At the same time, traditional Moroccan influences are abundant here. The building is nondescript from the outside, but when you walk in, you’ll be greeted by a wide-open view of the ocean with Moroccan details throughout the interior design: intricate tilework, ornate lanterns and handcrafted furnishings alongside modern touches and amenities.

Accommodations at Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca

Across 185 total units, there are four types of guest rooms and six different types of suites — which offer either  beachfront, garden or hotel views. If you’re able to budget for it, we definitely recommend opting for the beach views (especially if you are coming into Morocco after a long flight and simply want to retreat to an oasis in your room). Booking with a Fora Advisor is a great way to work with an expert to pick the room that’s right for you.

Guest rooms: Superior, Deluxe, Premier & Grand Premier

Most guest rooms include the same layouts and amenities. Each has about 500 square feet of interior space, plus a small balcony. All host one marble-floor bathroom. And all either have one king bed or two twins, plus the option for either a rollaway or a crib. The only exception: twin Premier Rooms trade their balcony for extra square footage, making them ideal for families or groups interested in sharing one room.

The difference between room types comes down to the view. Superior Rooms look out over the property’s opposing tower. Deluxe Rooms overlook the hotel gardens. Premier rooms offer a split view between the beach and the hotel courtyard. Then all Grand Premier Rooms feature beach views.

Suites: Junior, Four Seasons Deluxe & Premier

There's more variety among Four Seasons Casablanca’s suites, although the view will still be the biggest differentiator. All boast separate living room and bedroom areas, balconies and a powder room, in addition to one bathroom. From here, there are a few notable differences.

The Junior option comes in at about 600 square feet, overlooks the hotel gardens and includes a king bed, plus a sofa bed or a crib. The Deluxe Suite offers 750 square feet of space, then a king bed, sofa bed and optional crib. Guests can either choose a garden or partial ocean view.

Lastly, the Premier Suite provides a larger balcony in addition to a significant upgrade in space (about 1,100 square feet). The view and bedding options, however, are the same as the Deluxe Suite.

Signature & Imperial speciality suites

The Signature Suites’ big draw are their twin balconies — one for lounging, and one for dining (there’s another dining area indoors) — and primary bathroom. As for the view, these suites mostly overlook the pool and hotel gardens.

If you prefer ocean views, you’ll want to opt for an Imperial Suite instead. Otherwise, these units offer all the same amenities as the prior option, plus a complimentary mini bar, daily breakfast for up to four guests and airport transfers.

The Royal Suite

The lone, 4200-square-foot Royal Suite is in a class of its own. From its fifth-floor vantage point, you can enjoy one of the best ocean views in Casablanca. This is best experienced on the unit's expansive balcony, which also features an indoor-outdoor fireplace. Alternatively, you can take in the view from the primary bedroom – it’s larger than a standard guest room – or the main living space, both of which feature floor-to-ceiling windows.

Oceanside dining at Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca

A trio of high-end restaurants – plus room service – define Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca’s dining options. It’s worth noting that the Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca does not serve alcohol due to its proximity to a mosque, but the hotel staff will happily point you toward nearby options if you’re in the mood to imbibe.

Mint leans into the local dining scene with an international-meets-Moroccan menu and aesthetic. Along with a slate of international dishes, you can try authentic Moroccan cuisine like tagines, lamb and bastilla. Mint also observes Morocco’s tradition of afternoon tea, serving guests local varieties of tea and coffee, plus pastries and other small bites.

During Ramadan, Bleu also hosts an Iftar buffet beginning 15 minutes before the Maghrib time.
