Things to do in Chicago's West Side

colorful wall mural in a smaller neighborhood of a city with skyscrapers in the distance
  • Thrift shop! There are thrift shops up and down Milwaukee Ave and each has its own personality. My favorite is Lost Girls Vintage!

  • Take a walk on the 606! This trail used to be an elevated railroad trail that was converted into a walking / exercise trail.

  • Check out Wicker Park. Right off of Milwaukee Ave there is a small park where you can feel like a local. Sit on a bench with some Stan’s Donuts or a slice of Paulie Gee pizza and just relax!

  • Go shopping in the West Loop. Walk up and down Randolph Street and check out some great stores, Madewell, Warby Parker, Allbirds, Anthropologie, and many more.

  • Stop by Salvage One, a thrift store, event space, and just a good place to wander.

  • Go to a sports event! The United Center is home to the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks.
