Curator’s statement
This exciting destination sits just outside Tampa Bay. You'll find all the charm of a downtown district, as well as the hustle of a big city. Stumble across cute coffee shops, themed nightlife, ball games, bookstores and more. I highly recommend staying on this side of the bay, for any Tampa-related trips.

Things to do in St Petersburg, Florida
Walk
Honestly, this is my first must-do. We discovered so many amazing places by just exploring the neighborhood.
Rent a Scooter
When we needed a break from our walk, we could easily rent scooters from the many rentals around town. They even have designated lanes for you to stay safe while flying through.
Go Out Drinking
Start at "Good Night John Boy", and from there everything is walkable. Nightlife seems a bit on the non-existent side during the week, so plan accordingly.
Rays Baseball Game
Take the FREE TRAM to a Rays Baseball Game. That's right, free. There's a stop right outside the Hyatt Hotel and it runs every 10 minutes, starting two hours before each game. Tickets to catch the Rays run around $40 and it's an inside stadium. So yes, air conditioning while eating your peanuts and cracker jacks. Bonus tip, they have a Stingray Touch Tank. Ask any attendant how to get there, they are happy to help!
MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheater
Take in a show at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre, just a 30-minute drive into Tampa.
During Hockey Season, you can also attend a Tampa Bay Lighting game.
The Salvador Dalí Museum
An art museum dedicated to the works of Salvador Dalí. It is located downtown.
Farmers Market
The largest Farmers Market in the Southeast United States - This market is open every Saturday from early October to late May.
Places to eat & drink in St Petersburg, Florida
Bad Mother Coffee - Part Business Center, part college dorm, I know you'll find this coffee shop just as perfect as I did. When looking over the menu, you'll notice something a bit unusual. The "Cold Brew Lemonade" seems to be a staple here and in the surrounding shops. It is exactly what it sounds like, and no... I did not care for it. Lol, try this one anyways just to say you did.
Paradeco Coffee - Talk about Insta-Worthy! This may be one of the most adorable coffee shops I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Imagine a 60's kitchen vibe, but with loads of plants. Plus, the espresso was top-notch.
Book and Bottle - As the sign says, "A Bookstore with Wine, and a Wine Store with Books". Not only was the coffee great and the beer selection unique, but they were more than kid-friendly and set my son up with a special hot chocolate.
Naked Farmer - Imagine a Chipotle-style set up, but with all organic, locally sourced ingredients.
St Pete Meat & Provisions - A family-owned butcher shop dedicated to offering high-quality meats and curated provisions. They also have ready-to-eat foods that are perfect for a picnic.
La Diperie - They will dip almost anything in chocolate... just go.
Good Fortune - You'll walk right by this one if you're not looking! Take the stairs down to an incredible dining experience. The service, sushi, drinks and food were all a 10.
