Perfectly positioned at the base of Aspen Mountain, The St. Regis Aspen Resort ticks all the boxes for a luxe Colorado holiday—and it’s our top-booked hotel in Aspen. When guests check-in here, they are right in the thick of the action, within steps of the Silver Queen Gondola and downtown’s restaurants and shops.

Making a bold first impression with its regal brick exterior, the St. Regis Aspen Resort offers upscale, pet-friendly rooms and suites built around a central pool courtyard. The welcoming lobby immediately puts guests at ease, with seating areas done in warm leathers and plush velvets.

The luxury hotel transforms from a ski resort in the winter months to a verdant mountain destination in warmer months, with both seasons offering a host of festivals and outdoor activities.

“Even if you aren’t someone who skis there are plenty of activities,” said Fora Advisor Jill Albino, one of our top bookers for the property. “They offer hiking, snowshoeing, yoga and a full gym. There are restaurants and shops close by, and if you have kids looking to have some independence, they can freely walk around the village.”

When you book the St. Regis Aspen with a Fora Advisor, you’ll automatically unlock VIP perks, including a $100 resort credit, daily breakfast, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible. Reach out to a Fora Advisor to start planning your Colorado escape.

Decked out in a mountain-chic vibe, the guest rooms range from superior and deluxe (some with fireplaces or patios) to lavish suites, which feature sitting areas and up to two bedrooms. Decor is sophisticated with a contemporary feel and marble bathrooms with soaking tubs.

From check-in to check-out time, guests can expect attentive service. The brand is known for its legendary St. Regis butler service, which is included with each room. Your dedicated butler greets you and shows you around your stylish room or suite. Butlers are at your service 24 hours a day for tasks like unpacking, arranging babysitting, extra cleaning service or garment pressing.

“The hotel’s luxurious interiors are clean and modern with custom Ralph Lauren furnishings and marble bathrooms with heated floors — no detail has been spared,” said Fora Advisor Tarika Richter (another one of our top bookers for the St. Regis Aspen). “To level up your stay, the St. Regis butlers are there to make your stay the very best.”

Families can spread out in the St. Regis residence club rooms, which range from two to three bedrooms. These 25 apartment-like retreats are packed with all the amenities of home, including kitchens, but have the added luxury of hotel services, like access to butler and concierge services.

Other conveniences include free wi-fi, turndown service, dry cleaning service and valet parking. Check with the concierge for airport shuttle service (Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is only four miles away) and bicycle rentals.

The hotel’s main restaurant is the Velvet Buck, an upscale but unfussy eatery serving seasonal and regional plates (plus family-friendly options). Aspen’s Chefs Club is an exclusive space in the St. Regis where visiting chefs are in residence, turning out innovative menus for a limited time (your Fora Advisor can help make reservations).

The poolside bar is great for casual, quick bites, while the Mountain Social Bar & Lounge serves up the hotel’s famous St. Regis Bloody Mary, as well as a menu of handcrafted cocktails. Don’t miss the iconic daily champagne sabering, a dramatic way to conclude a day packed with mountain fun.

And if you don’t want to unwrap yourself from your cozy guest room robe, room service is available 24/7, a well-earned splurge after a long day on the slopes.

Make time for self-care at the impressive on-site RAKxa Wellness Spa

RAKxa Wellness Spa tailors treatments to your individual needs, drawing inspiration from Thai healing techniques and philosophy. Treatments range from massages (perfect for soothing sore ski muscles) to restorative tension-release sessions (great for remote workers).

The spa takes relaxation seriously, creating a tranquil space of about 15,000 square feet. In addition to private treatment rooms, you can indulge in hydrotherapy like a cold plunge, steam room, hot tub and waterfall features.

And the spa experience doesn’t end there. Make sure to carve out time to completely unwind in the gorgeous relaxation lounge, where you can take advantage of the individual oxygen stations pre- or post-treatment.

Also on-site, the fitness center keeps active guests on track, and the outdoor pool is open all year. For those who want to venture out, Snowmass has yoga on the mountain during the summer months, as well as mountain biking and running groups.

There’s no shortage of festivals and events, both in winter and summer, and the hotel’s location at the base of Aspen Mountain is ideal for experiencing both. Trips to Colorado in June coincide with Aspen’s well-known FOOD & WINE Classic, a popular culinary festival that’s been drawing foodies together since the 1980s. Continuing throughout the summer, the Aspen Music Festival & School offers live music events ranging from small recitals to dramatic operas. Another musical favorite is the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, a three-day outdoor music festival with the gorgeous Rockies as a backdrop.

“In the winter months, the resort offers exclusive access to a ski concierge, top-tier equipment rentals, and convenient shuttles to the surrounding majestic slopes,” Fora Advisor Sarit Rothschild said. “As the seasons change, the resort transforms to host outdoor yoga classes, vibrant summer golf and tennis escapes, and a delightful outdoor brunch in the courtyard every Sunday.

Colorado’s snowy wonderland is the perfect setting for a ton of winter festivities, and Aspen hosts its fair share. Dating back to the 1950s, Wintersköl is Aspen’s way of celebrating winter. This multi-day December event has something for everyone, including a craft beer festival, on-mountain activities and fireworks. Nearby on Buttermilk Mountain, the ESPN Winter X Games Aspen takes over the slopes. The event is free and highlights jaw-dropping ski and snowboard action. And if you need help with a ski pass while in Aspen, be sure to ask your Fora Advisor to help decide which one is right for you.
