10-Day Amalfi Coast Honeymoon Itinerary
Food & Wine
The Amalfi Coast embodies the essence of "dolce far niente," the sweetness of doing nothing. Nestled between dramatic cliffs and the azure Mediterranean Sea, this coastal paradise invites couples to embrace relaxation and savor the simple pleasures of life. From idyllic sunsets over Positano's colorful houses to leisurely strolls through Ravello's enchanting gardens, the Amalfi Coast exudes an irresistible charm that's perfect for newlyweds to disconnect from the world and immerse themselves in post-nuptial bliss.

Day 1: Arrive in Capri and check into J.K. Place Capri
I personally like to leave plans flexible on arrival days. After a long flight, you'll probably experience jet lag and will appreciate a day to get situated at the hotel and explore the surrounding area at your own pace. As you're likely to arrive in the afternoon, I recommend lunch at the hotel's panoramic terrace followed by a leisurely stroll around the island and a a dip in the hotel's infinity pool.
To kick off night one, head to dinner at Ristorante Paolino Capri to dine under the lemon grove before heading back to the hotel for a good night's sleep.
Day 2: Private boat tour & beach club
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on an exclusive private boat tour around the island, complete with a gourmet picnic and champagne. Explore the island's secluded coves and swim in the crystal-clear waters, away from the crowds.
Spend the afternoon at one of Capri's famous beach clubs, where you'll have lunch, spritzes and unlimited access to Capri's blue waters.
Return to the hotel to unwind and freshen up before heading to dinner at Ristorante Buca Di Bacco, a charming restaurant located in the heart of the historic center of Capri.
Day 3: Sightseeing in Anacapri & shopping
Take a private ride to Anacapri, a tranquil side of the island known for its quiet and laidback atmosphere. Once you've arrived, head straight for the chairlift to Monte Solaro, which offers the best views of Capri. The unique single-seat chairlift offers amazing views along the way, but you can also hike up if you prefer to get your steps in. Once you've explored Monte Solaro, visit the prestigious Villa San Michele, followed by a private tour of the lush gardens. For lunch, head to Ristorante Da Gelsomina. Tip: order the ravioli capresi.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon of shopping in Anacapri, where you'll find more local boutiques filled with souvenirs, or Capri's luxury shops. Don't forget to have custom sandals made! Once you've had your shopping fill, head back to the hotel to cool off at the pool or wind down at the spa.
Your last dinner in Capri will be at Ristorante Aurora Capri - an unbeatable atmosphere with amazing food, and the perfect place to cheers to the first leg of your Amalfi Coast honeymoon.
Day 4: Arrive & relax in Positano
After a leisurely morning and breakfast at the hotel, take the ferry from Capri to Positano where you'll check into one of my all-time favorite hotels - Il San Pietro di Positano. Explore the grounds and have lunch at the property's seaside restaurant, Carlino.
In the afternoon, relax at the hotel's pool where you'll meet Pasquale, San Pietro's beloved pool attendant who has been working at the San Pietro since 1980. Must: order a lemon spritz for me!
In the evening, you'll want to head to Franco's Bar located at Le Sirenuse for sunset cocktails. Tip: They don't take reservations, so you'll want to show up right when they open to get a seat toward the front of the terrace. After cocktails, dinner will be at Da Vincenzo, a romantic Italian restaurant.
Day 5: Exploration & shopping
Wake up to a lavish in-room breakfast on your private terrace before walking down to explore Positano's charming streets and boutiques. Lunch will be at Ristorante Max, located in the heart of Positano. The terrace boasts panoramic views, providing a picture-perfect backdrop for your meal.
Spend the afternoon at the hotel's private beach club (Fun fact: San Pietro is the only hotel in Positano with direct access to a private beach.)
Spend the evening soaking up the views of the Amalfi Coast from San Pietro's sprawling terrace, where you'll enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail before heading to the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant, Zass.
Day 6: San Pietro (or other) beach club & Da Adolfo
If you're like me, you'll fall in love with Il San Pietro's private beach club and choose to spend the day there before getting whisked away by a private boat for a short ride to Da Adolfo - a laid back beachside restaurant - for lunch. If you prefer, you can also check out one of Positano's well-known beach clubs like La Scogliera or Arienzo.
After a leisurely day spent by the water, have dinner at Il Tridente Positano, a charming restaurant on the Hotel Poseidon roof.
Day 7: Arrival in Ravello
After breakfast at the hotel a private driver will pick you up to take you to Ravello, one of my favorite towns on the Amalfi Coast, where you'll check into Palazzo Avino. Spend the first part of your day exploring Ravello's quintessential town square filled with unique ceramics and souvenirs.
For lunch, check out Cumpa Cosimo, a family-owned restaurant run by "Mamma Anette" where the food is delicious, the wine is served in water glasses and Mamma's personality will pull you in.
In the afternoon, visit the iconic Villa Rufolo, known for its beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the coast. Close out the day at Ristorante Belvedere, followed by a nightcap at Bar Caruso.
Day 8: Villa Cimbrone tour & cooking class
Begin the day with a guided tour of Villa Cimbrone, admiring the Terrace of Infinity and the breathtaking vistas. From there, Visit the Ravello Cathedral, a stunning medieval structure with impressive frescoes.
In the afternoon, participate in a private cooking class at Mamma Agata's Cooking School, learning to prepare traditional Amalfi Coast dishes. Head back to the hotel to spend time at the pool or indulge in a relaxing spa treatment at Palazzo Avino's wellness center.
For dinner, check out Ristorante Da Salvatore: a family-owned trattoria known for its warm hospitality and traditional Amalfi Coast cuisine.
Day 9: Palazzo Avino's Private Beach Club
Spend your final day in Ravello taking advantage of Palazzo Avino's private beach club, Clubhouse by the Sea. The beach club is only accessible to hotel guests and offers a serene escape from the bustling town of Ravello. Spend the day having drinks by the water, enjoying the delicious cuisine and soaking in your final moments in the Mediterranean Sea.
In the evening, toast to the final night of your honeymoon with sunset drinks at Palazzo Avino's Lobster & Martini Bar, where they offer 80 different martinis uniquely crafted by the hotel’s in-house martini mixologists. End the night with dinner at Rossellinis, Palazzo Avino's Michelin-starred restaurant where you'll take in the panoramic sea views one last time.
Day 10: Departure day
Enjoy a private breakfast in your hotel room while preparing to say goodbye to your time on the Amalfi Coast. Depending on your flight time, take one final stroll around town and grab an espresso for the day ahead. A private driver will meet you at the hotel to take you to the Naples airport, where you'll head back home to begin your life as a married couple and dream about returning to Amalfi Coast someday.
