Takeoff to Travel
- Luxury travel,
- using points & miles,
Lover of luxury hotels and business class products. Obsessed with points and miles, and passionate about scoring a good deal. LAX is my second home.
LAX for deals and jumbo jets, SNA/LGB for short trips.
My travel style
I love discovering new locations, but want a comfortable home base when doing so. I generally like four star hotels for exploring new destinations – but I’ll splurge on five star properties on places I'm returning to. Each city has their unique story to tell, and I hope to help travelers find the right home base to allow them to travel at their fullest.
Grand Hyatt Taipei
Taiwan’s first luxury hotel, this palace-like resort sits mid-mountain overlooking the Keelung River.
Comfy stay in the heart of the Old Town, close to all of the city’s attractions.
Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills
Endlessly glamorous Golden Triangle hotel where the Jean-Georges restaurant and rooftop pool are just two of the many highlights.
$100 resort / hotel credit.
Full daily breakfast (up to $45 each) for two.
Upgrade & extended check-in/out whenever possible.
Recently returned from:
Visiting an ice cave in Iceland.
Soaking in the sun at Wailea Beach in Maui.
Touring Hobbiton in New Zealand.
Hitting up all of the NYC rooftops.
Taking a cruise to Antarctica.
Staying in an ice hotel in Sweden.
Going on a safari in Africa.
Exploring the Great Barrier Reef.
One thing I can't travel without...
Earplugs, I'm a light sleeper :)
Two truths, one lie:
I saw Tom Cruise at the Regent Hotel in Taipei after dinner one night.
I’ve visited all 50 states. Hawai‘i is my favorite one!
I flew from Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Auckland to Sydney to Taipei back to Los Angeles during winter break one year with my family. 50+ hours of flying combined!
