At 1,550 meters in the Tyrolean Alps, Eriro Alpine Hide is an intimate, nine-room retreat accessible only by ski gondola for most of the year. It’s designed for total disconnection and simplicity. Created by three childhood friends from the region, the hotel blends reclaimed wood, stone and warm textiles, wrapping guests in cozy alpine-chic comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows that keep nature front and center, while hyper-local dining skips imports in favor of foraged and regional flavors — think grilled chanterelles and mountain pine sorbet. The wellness area offers a one-of-a-kind experience with three warm-water springs inspired by Japanese onsens: the underground meditation pool, a 40-degree pool with views of Tajakopf mountain and the Panorama Pool with 360-degree alpine views.

Once the private estate of Marquis Manodori, Relais Roncolo 1888 has been reimagined as an eco-conscious retreat surrounded by organic vineyards and olive groves in the heart of Emilia, where the Food and Motor Valleys meet. Winelovers, rejoice. Guided tastings in the centuries-old cellars showcase the estate’s award-winning organic wines, best paired with balsamico drizzled over local Parmigiano Reggiano. Culinary experiences go beyond the plate, from pasta-making classes to chef-prepared picnics in the shaded gardens. Explore the rolling countryside on horseback, electric bike or classic vintage car, then shift gears with a visit to Maserati’s headquarters before slowing back down with a sunset aperitivo by the infinity pool.

Paris has its fair share of hidden gems, but Hôtel Pourtalès is next-level discreet. Tucked behind an unmarked entrance near Place de la Madeleine, this ultra-private retreat has just 11 suites; each feels more like an impeccably designed pied-à-terre than a hotel room. Expect museum-worthy contemporary art, curated furnishings and loft-like spaces with soaring ceilings and terraces overlooking the city. This is where A-listers and creatives come to disappear in style. A dedicated butler caters to every whim, whether it’s a last-minute dinner reservation or an in-room massage, while the hotel’s underground parking means you can slip in and out unseen.

    • Fora Reserve perks include welcome amenities, daily breakfast, an upgrade whenever possible and guaranteed extended check-in/out.

    Serras Barcelona

A modern suite with wood flooring, yellow armchair and black and white bed and fixtures

It’s rare to find an upscale boutique hotel that also feels genuinely inviting and relaxed enough to make you feel at home, but Serras Barcelona pulls it off effortlessly. Perched on Passeig de Colom, where the Gothic Quarter meets the marina, it’s close to everything — Las Ramblas, El Born, the beach — yet just removed enough from the crowds. Rooms feel warm and relaxed, with soft linens, hardwood floors and, depending on the room, marina views. Thoughtful extras like Diptyque bath products, Dyson hairdryers, ultra-comfortable Hypnos mattresses (complete with a pillow menu) and Hansgrohe rain showers add a pampering touch. Chef Fabio Gambirasi brings the best of Italy and Catalonia to the buzzy on-site restaurant, Agreste Mar, as well as the cozy tapas hotspot Informal. And you must not miss the rooftop terrace — complete with a pool, bar and front-row city and sea views. Downstairs, Le Nine Bar hides a little gem — ‘Picasso Corner,’ a nod to the artist’s first studio, once atop this very building.

    • Fora Reserve perks include complimentary tapa and bottle of Catalan Champagne, $100 food and beverage credit, daily breakfast, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.
