Things to do in Antigua
Hike a volcano
The Papaya is a shorter easier hike and you can even roast marshmallows from the heat of the volcano!
Funny hobbit like village for kids and Lord of the Rings fans alike. Also just a beautiful view from here.
There are several maze like markets where you can find beautiful things made with the traditional Guatemalan textiles. NimPot is great shop for a more curated selection.
You can take a Tuk Tuk here for a delicious farm to table meal and even do aerial yoga here!

There are many inexpensive Spanish schools where you can do private lessons with a local.

Ride a chicken bus (if you dare!)
These are yellow school buses painted in wild colors. They are always packed, they go fast and make for a really authentic experience.
