Things to do in Mykonos, Greece

The 5 windmills of Little Venice

Filling the streets of Chora are adorable shops filled with a reason to pack an extra bag. The shops are open late so you can stroll in after dinner for quick purchase.

Check out Jardin for exclusively Greek brands and Luisa at Nammos for well known designer selections.

You heard the stories and they are all true. Mykonos is rumored to be the biggest party in all of Greece to daytime beach parties to dancing on tables and live entertainment at Scorpios , it doesn't get much better.

The 5 windmills of Little Venice, named Little Venice because it's area of shops and cafes on the water resembles Venice, Italy. The best time to visit is at sunset when the Aegean sea is glowing and reflecting on the windmills.

Get out on a boat - This is a must in Greece. To a beach, island , or just a quick ride, you will want to be on the water and experience the water. The faster the boat the better.

Rhenia Island

Spend the day on a chartered boat docked in Rhenia. Such a cool spot to soak up the sun in the middle of the Agean. Jumping into the crystal clear waters and enjoying a prepared lunch is the way to create a perfect afternoon.

Spend the afternoon into the early evening at one of the main beautiful sandy beaches of Mykonos. My favorite, even though it's quite popular, is paradise beach but I also like quieter Kalafati. If you like to windsurf this is also a great beach for you.

Take a cooking class. Love Greek food and want some inside tips on how to cook like Yia Yia, then try your hand at making Spanikopita with a local expert.

Snorkeling - With clear deep blue water and diverse aquatic life Agios Sostic Beach is one of the many places to try snorkeling in Mykonos.

Day trips

Paros - A lovely island with small cafes and shops.

Tinos - If you want something a little quiet and less known.

Greece is a feel good, relax and forget about time type of destination. Be sure to live like the locals do on island time and not rush around. The best part is slowing down.

Places to eat & drink in Mykonos, Greece

M-Eating is a fine dining restaurant.
  • M-Eating - in Mykonos town-Modern Greek cuisine that is locally sourced. This is a hard-to-get restaurant and totally worth it. Get the onion pie if it's on the menu.

  • Beefbar - On Agios Ioannis beach at Bill & Coo Coast Resort, it is considered the best steakhouse on the island.

  • Scorpios - in Paraga Beach serving excellent seafood and a fun day into night party. It's a must while in Mykonos.

  • Sant Anna - Super high-end lux beach club in Paraga Beach with a Greek restaurant, sushi counter, and multiple cocktail bars. The pool is stunning and you can even have your own private area with bar.

  • Nammos - On Psarou Beach Known for celeb spotting it serves up Greek and Italian dishes. dinner turns into clubbing and you will soon find yourself dancing on tables and late night shopping at Nammos Village.

  • Principote - A chic restaurant/club on Panormos Beach. Lively party vibe, a beautiful view and a great shop selling local designed goods.

  • Pasaji in Ornos Beach - A great choice for families. The food is Mediterranean and the vibe is fun and relaxed.
