Viewline Resort Snowmass: Where the Mountain Meets the Moment
Curator’s statement

Viewline is one of those rare properties that feels both effortlessly elevated and genuinely fun—where mornings start on the slopes and end with cocktails, music, and a little après magic. The 254-room ski-in/ski-out property on Snowmass Mountain that somehow manages to feel both grand and intimate at the same time. From the Viewline Spa by RAKxa (the only ski-in/ski-out spa in all of Snowmass) to a vibrant mix of on-site entertainment—from the high-energy Après Club Snowmass (that brings world-class entertainment right to the mountain) to intimate social spaces, late-night venues, and the lively base village just steps away. I love recommending Viewline to clients who want every moment of their ski trip to feel curated—from the first run of the day to the last cocktail of the evening. It’s exactly the kind of experience I love designing—thoughtful, seamless, and a little bit unforgettable. And with a future Ritz-Carlton transformation on the horizon, there has never been a better time to experience Viewline exactly as it is today—vibrant, elevated, and full of personality.

The property

Viewline Resort Snowmass sits slopeside on Snowmass Mountain, offering one of the most seamless ski-in/ski-out experiences in Snowmass Village. Part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, the resort blends a strong sense of place with a refined, modern mountain aesthetic.

With 254 rooms, including 20 suites, and direct access to both the Village Express and Coney Glade lifts within minutes, everything about the experience is designed to feel effortless from the moment you arrive.

Following a $40 million renovation in 2023, the property now reflects a fresh, modern mountain aesthetic while maintaining that warm, cozy alpine feel. The atmosphere is lively yet polished—equally suited for social travelers, couples, and families—striking that perfect balance of elevated without ever feeling overdone.

A personal note I always love to highlight—the property is pet-friendly, which as a dog lover, makes it even more special. It’s one of those rare mountain properties where your lifestyle doesn’t have to pause when you travel—your pup can be part of the experience too.

Looking ahead, the resort is poised for an exciting future chapter with a planned transformation into a Ritz-Carlton property, with redevelopment expected to begin in 2028.

The rooms

Not all rooms are created equal here—and this is where a little insider help goes a long way.

  • Summit View Slope Side Suites: Expansive balconies, butler pantries, and sweeping mountain views

  • Premium Queen Rooms: Slope-facing with Juliet balconies—the ideal balance of comfort and style.

  • Classic Queen Rooms: Spacious and well-appointed, though resort-facing—request mountain views if that matters (and it should).

  • Vista Terrace and Heritage Suites: Excellent options for groups with connecting configurations.

  • Penthouses: The most exclusive accommodations on property

This is one of those properties where room selection truly shapes your experience—and something I always guide my clients through to ensure the right fit.

The Summit View suites are a masterclass in mountain-modern design—live-edge wood, plush layers, and light that fills every corner

Dining, après, and entertainment

This is where Viewline really comes alive—and knowing where to go and when makes all the difference.

  • Stark’s Alpine Grill: Every morning begins with a well-executed breakfast buffet—pastries, eggs, fresh fruit, and juices to fuel the day ahead. Cozy, welcoming, and designed for ski day appetites.

  • Viewline Lobby Bar: One of the most underrated spaces on property. Warm and inviting, the Viewline Lobby Bar features soaring ceilings, dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, and unobstructed mountain views that immediately set the tone. Guests can settle into fireside seating, enjoy fresh alpine air on the outdoor patio, or gather at the bar for handcrafted cocktails and light bites. It strikes that perfect balance—social yet relaxed—and is one of my favorite spots to recommend when clients want a quieter, more elevated moment in between the energy.

  • Après Club Snowmass: The heartbeat of the resort—a high-energy après scene with DJs and live performances from 3 p.m.–6:30 p.m.

  • Bunny’s Social Club: A more intimate outdoor setting, perfect for smaller gatherings and curated moments—and known to attract top-tier talent—though don’t let the size fool you, they bring in serious talent (Deadmau5 performed during my visit).

  • The Club Snowmass (formerly The House): A stylish, multi-use space blending dining, retail, and nightlife—from vinyl sessions to late-night events. Fair warning: you might leave with more than just a good time—I may or may not have picked up my own signature hat here!

  • The Flower Shop: A 1970s-inspired retro ski lodge with warm wood tones and nostalgic charm and a more insider feel. Offering approachable food, cocktails, live music, and cozy touches like a fireplace and pool table, it’s a welcoming spot to start the evening, settle in, or wind down after a full day on the mountain.

  • Snowmass Mall and Base Village: Viewline is ideally positioned near the Snowmass Mall, giving guests easy access to one of the liveliest pockets of Snowmass Village. The Mall offers a fun, walkable atmosphere right outside the hotel—including nearby spots like Venga Venga for a high-energy après scene. The location also offers easy access down to Base Village via a short walk or the ‘Skittles’ Gondola—making it effortless to move between both areas depending on the vibe you’re looking for.

The beauty of Viewline is that you can lean into the energy or step away from it when you want—and I always help tailor that balance depending on the kind of trip you’re looking to have.

Spa, wellness, and family amenities

The Viewline Spa by RAKxa is a standout—and notably, the only ski-in/ski-out spa in Snowmass.

Guests can expect steam rooms, relaxation lounges, and an outdoor pool and hot tub positioned perfectly for post-ski recovery, all with sweeping mountain views. Signature treatments, including the Balancer Pro lymphatic drainage, are especially popular.

This is one of those experiences I always recommend building into your itinerary ahead of time—it’s the perfect reset after a full day on the mountain.

For families, a new mid-season Family Lounge will offer PlayStations and dedicated activities, adding another thoughtful layer for multi-generational travel.
