The inspiration starts the moment you step off the airplane in Jackson. Breathtaking views of the Teton Range welcome you to the “coolest airport” in the US. Whether you come to ski Rendevous Peak at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in the winter, explore the Grand Teton National Park in the summer or just take in the nouveau cowboy culture in town, you can never go wrong planning a getaway to Jackson Hole.

A Summer in Jackson Hole

A lot of people think of Jackson Hole as the place to go skiing in the winter, but the summer is almost even better. A picturesque mountain town that can accommodate the adventure seeker, those who just want to relax, the wine lover and the foodie — there’s a little bit of everything in Jackson. You’ll start by landing in the only airport in the United States that is entirely located in a national park, and you’ll be amazed by the beauty of the Tetons. Head down to the town square to take your picture under the antler arches (made at the nearby National Elk Refuge) and prepare to experience the extraordinary.

The Ultimate Skiing Guide for Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Curated by
Meredith Lerner
Jackson Hole is one of the premiere ski resorts in the country, and I recommend it to everyone who asks me where to ski or snowboard out west!
Why? Because the Jackson Hole Ski Resort does it right, they understand hospitality and the importance of creating a seamless experience for their guests.
The best way they do this is by limiting the number of skiers on the mountain each day. This means no lift lines or crowded trails. Combine all this with challenging and technical terrain, along with epic views (you are in the Grand Tetons, after all!) and you have the makings of an incredible ski or snowboarding trip.
Curious to know more about all that Jackson Hole has to offer? Keep reading to discover why this mountain town should be where you book your next ski trip.

Jackson Hole: Your All-Seasons Escape

Jackson Hole is having a moment. Urbanites like myself have long been lured to the mountain west to escape, looking for tranquility, connection with nature, and experiences that we can’t have in our concrete jungles. Each year, Jackson Hole goes through four major metamorphoses and emerges in each season as a new but familiar version of itself, beckoning visitors to be out of doors no matter what the temperature. Jackson Hole is an all-seasons destination that you should consider for your next getaway - cowboy boots optional.

Push your limits by trying out a new adventure or deepen an existing passion, the options are endless. The town of Jackson offers a quaint and cozy feel with all the amenities one would need and an array of shops and dining. It provided my family and I with a unique experience mingling the best of nature, adventure and relaxation.

Summer Guide: Jackson Hole

Curated by
Catherine Kinsey
Few places are more glorious in summer than Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Adjacent to Grand Teton National Park, this valley between the Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges is blessed with some of the most majestic scenery in the lower 48. Warm, sunny days and chilly nights make for an outdoor adventure paradise, while the once-quaint cowboy town of Jackson offers a host of sophisticated dining and shopping. Whether you have just a few days or a whole month to spare, you’ll never run out of things to do and you’ll likely start planning your next visit to the Tetons before you leave.
While winter sport enthusiasts revere Jackson Hole for cold-weather recreation, I prefer Jackson Hole in the summer. The bitter cold has abated, wildflowers bloom on the mountainsides and trout jump in the rivers. Hiking trails abound in Jackson, Wilson and Teton Village, before you even enter Grand Teton National Park and explore its vast trail network. The Snake River swells with the runoff of melted snow, yielding opportunities to fly fish, whitewater raft or simply float along and enjoy the views. Wildlife is everywhere, particularly in the national park, and you’ll see creatures great and small, from bison to mountain goats to grizzly bears.
