I moved there with my family in January of 2016 and was lucky enough to call myself a local for the following 6 years! The rugged beauty of the mountains and the picturesque village at the base make Whistler stand out. While visiting you can enjoy some of the best ski/snowboard terrain, snowshoeing (and many other winter sports), wellness spas, fine dining, live music and plenty of après! This small town has something for everyone and every age.

Whistler is home of some of the best mountain biking, hiking and golf in North America. All of your activities are accessible from Whistler Village; you are in an epicenter of adventure! Plenty of wildlife to be seen, breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and lakes all around you. You can stay right in the village, or be as remote as you wish, and stay off the grid in the backcountry.

Whistler-Blackcomb has been rated the Number One Ski Resort in North America, with 5280 feet of vertical, second only to Jackson Hole. Due to its proximity to Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, LA — it has an enormous amount of amenities, besides just the best ski hill! It also has 50,000 hotel beds, from budget hostels to the large luxury chains: Fairmont, Westin, Hilton, le Chamois — even whole house rentals are available and not your tiny university buddies ski crash pad either! Some of the most luxurious homes that you will ever see are scattered throughout the valley of Whistler.

My husband and I honeymooned in Whistler in 2022, and have dreamed of going back ever since! While skiing was the main event, everything else we experienced there turned out to be just as remarkable. We are adventure seekers that also look forward to R&R when traveling. I stayed at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler with my husband and two kiddos in August of 2023. The moment we walked in, we were blown away with the service and attentiveness provided by the staff. They treated us like VIP guests and went out of their way to welcome our kids and make them feel special. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and is the perfect setting for your getaway close to nature and all of the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Back at the hotel, you can basque in the beautiful surroundings by utilizing their pool and hot tubs or relax and zen out at their full-service spa. I cannot wait to stay there again and will continue to recommend this hotel to my clients.
