I was attending the Emergency Nurses Association Conference in Denver last fall. My husband and I decided to spend a few days prior to the conference exploring Colorado and New Mexico. We are working on traveling to all 50 states. We have been to all the states around New Mexico, but we had not been there. We made our way south from Denver, Colorado to Taos, New Mexico. It turned out to be an outstanding adventure.

Go from the desert to fresh powder in just 30 minutes! While relatively uncrowded, this mountain has over 3,000 feet of vertical and abundantly expert terrain. The base lodge has a quaint but vibrant scene with local shops, tasty bites and a chic on-mountain hotel. Not to mention, Taos is the first certified B-Corp ski resort in the world. Their focus on sustainability and supporting the local community creates a ski trip unlike any other.
