The Ultimate Bangkok Vacation

Many visitors to Bangkok only stay for a couple of days until heading south to the beaches or north to Chiang Mai and/or Chiang Rai. What people are missing is a Bangkok vacation. This vibrant city comes with a vast collection of luxury hotel options, amazing food choices (ranging from street food to Michelin-starred restaurants) and numerous new luxury malls. For culture, the palaces and temples bring a historical perspective from the only Southeast Asian country never to be colonized by any European countries. Last but not least, the Thai people are some of the most authentic and warm individuals who will endear you to return to the Big Mango time and time again.

Bangkok is an exciting city with so much to offer, both traditional and contemporary. Think: some of the oldest Buddhist temples and grand royal palaces versus the world’s highest rooftop bar. It is a city of contrasts, flavor and color that charm the visitor and make you want to come back repeatedly. With world-famous street food, picturesque markets, and excellent restaurants, Bangkok is in itself a moveable feast making it a perfect start and/or end for your trip to Thailand.

White Lotus Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons Bangkok

The Four Seasons hotel group not only provides an impressive backdrop for season three of the White Lotus. They are also creating experiences for travelers who are avid fans of the show. I was unable to resist the White Lotus-themed afternoon tea at the luxury riverside resort of the Four Seasons Bangkok. The entire experience was absolute perfection. Crafted ceramic platters in lotus design carry the most immaculate and tasty desserts. The chef talked us through each item on the platter. The food was created to show Thai heritage with ingredients sourced throughout the country. From the Smoked Aubergine Nam Prik to the Pink Lotus Passion and Mango Cheesecake, each piece was a sensory delight. My personal favorite was the Mango Pandan Soft Serve over sticky rice. This was certainly an experience not to be missed at one of the premier hotels in Bangkok.
