Napa is, of course, known for its wine, but it also offers amazing food, culture, wellness and adventure, too. The mild winters give visitors the chance to enjoy it while it's quiet. Fall shows off beautiful colors and foliage, and in the spring and summer there are beautiful wildflowers. Whether staying in Yountville, St. Helena or Napa, there's a place for everyone no matter your taste.

3 Alcohol-Free Days in Napa Valley

I was counting down the days until my first Napa trip with my girlfriends... until I found out I was pregnant. But, it turns out there's a lot more to Napa than just touring vineyards and sipping wine in tasting rooms. Napa Valley's landscape is absolutely stunning and lends itself to a quiet, unhurried visit. Many of the area's hotel properties have acclaimed spas and wellness activities. The emphasis on local, organic farming means there's an abundance of outstanding dining experiences. So if you find yourself in Napa for a girls weekend or bachelorette party and you're not drinking alcohol, all hope for an enjoyable weekend is not lost. And for a hot take: Napa might be my #1 recommendation for an unexpected babymoon destination!

Don't let these numbers intimidate you, though; this guide will help those in search of a bold cabernet, gourmet culinary experience or deeply relaxing wellness journey navigate the beauty of California wine country with ease. As someone who planned her own destination wedding in the Napa Valley, let me help you fall in love with this magical locale.

Girlfriend’s Guide to Sonoma and Napa Valley

I love our Northern CA wine country and travel there at least twice a year. My favorite place to stay is the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, a 5-star resort featuring Geothermal Mineral Springs that are fed into their pools and spa. Their curated wellness experiences offered at their luxury spa and Roman bathhouse are unparalleled to any other local resort. I guarantee you will be lost in tranquility whether indulging in their spa services or sitting fireside in their charming lobby, sipping complimentary vino offered at their wine tastings from 4:30 - 5:30pm daily. The Mission Spa Suite King is my room of choice, a 550 sq. ft. home away from home, that includes an oversized jacuzzi tub, quaint wood-burning fireplace, and lovely sitting area. The resort offers exceptional on-site dining options and room service. Don’t forget to stop by their gift shop and pick up the Fairmont Sonoma candle that captures their smell of splendor and peacefulness.
