If you’re looking for a quiet place to slow down and relax in Mexico, head about an hour north of Cabo San Lucas to unplug and unwind in Todos Santos. Part sleepy surf town, part artist’s enclave (think coastal desert Santa Fe vibes), Todos Santos boasts art galleries, quiet beaches and an exceptionally friendly and welcoming community. From couples to solo travelers to small groups, there’s something for everyone in search of a less-touristy getaway full of great food, eco-focused and wellness activities and outdoor adventure.

Todos Santos is the hidden gem of Baja California Sur, however, it's slowly becoming more and more popular. It's a smaller, quieter, surf town vibe compared to it's neighboring Los Cabos with some of the best food and arts culture. It's a great place to add on a few days to your Los Cabos trip if you want a slower pace and a slight change of scenery.

Cabo and Todos Santos Discovery Trip

I just returned from an awesome five nights in Baja California Sur exploring Cabo and Todos Santos. This is a super popular destination from California and an easy two-hour flight for most of my clients, so I was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to check out all the best properties with a few lovely Fora friends. I arrived one day early to check out the swanky and super fun Thompson Cape Hotel, then met up with the rest of the crew for a beautiful two-night stay at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal, followed by two nights at the coolest spot in Baja, Hotel San Cristobal in Todos Santos.

To me a successful trip is equal parts adventure and relaxation. 10-mile hike up a mountain? As long as there's a nice pool to sit by afterward. I like to get off the beaten path, love a shoulder season and am always on the hunt for a good souvenir.
