Join us on a journey through this enchanting land where reality and fantasy converge. Lauterbrunnen's ethereal beauty is believed to have sparked the imagination of the legendary author, J.R.R. Tolkien. Inspired by the awe-inspiring landscapes and idyllic waterfalls, he captured the essence of Lauterbrunnen in his iconic works, most notably in the creation of Rivendell, the mystical Elven refuge in "The Lord of the Rings." So here we stand, where Tolkien's dream-world found its earthly counterpart.

In June 2022, we returned to one of our favorite European destinations: Switzerland. We selected a home base for this particular holiday and thoroughly explored an area rather than checking off as many countries and cities as possible.
