Glenn and I returned to historic Istanbul in Spring 2023 and found the city still as vibrant and wonderful as previous visits. During this trip to Istanbul, we stayed in three different luxury properties and did a thorough site inspection of another one, getting to experience different areas of Istanbul.

If you’re a traveling cat-lover (like me), Istanbul must be on your bucket list. They roam freely, but are lovingly cared for by residents, who often leave food and water out for them. Cats in Istanbul are considered part of the urban fabric, and the local community and government both take collective responsibility for their welfare.

I have been to Istanbul many times, however, I have always been in Turkey as part of my job and haven't had more than a day or two on each trip to enjoy the things there are to see in this astonishing world city. Some of my friends asked me about the city because they are going there on a cruise or have an overnight layover. Here are my thoughts for a short trip to Istanbul.
