You can visit ancient monuments, swim in stunningly clear water and learn what farm-to-table really means. While Ireland might be one of the best places in the world for a game of golf and a pint, white sand beaches and the perfect pizza are just a few things you’ll find if you dig a bit deeper.

Ireland has always been on my travel wishlist, and this trip to Dublin and Galway exceeded every expectation. From the vibrant streets of Dublin filled with history and music, to the stunning coastal charm of Galway, each city offers its own unique magic. The warmth of the people, the depth of the culture and the beauty of the landscapes made it a truly unforgettable journey. It’s a destination that feels both welcoming and deeply rooted in tradition — one I can’t wait to return to.

Having visited Galway City twice, I can say it's a place that truly captivates the heart. My first visit was as a college student on a day trip, and I quickly realized that a single day isn't enough to fully appreciate the city's rich culture and surrounding beauty. More recently, I had the pleasure of returning with my husband while road-tripping across the Irish countryside. Galway holds a special place in my heart for its vibrant culture and lively atmosphere. It's a city that feels like a smaller, more intimate version of Dublin, yet it bursts with its own unique charm. As the capital city of County Galway, it serves as a gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way, making it a fantastic base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Connemara, the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher or the enchanting Aran Islands. The friendliness of the locals and the ease of exploring this walkable city make it incredibly inviting. The city's festive spirit, exceptional food scene and the pride of being the hometown of Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan add to its irresistible allure.

When most people travel to Ireland they think of places like Dublin, Galway, Cork and The Ring of Kerry. However, let me introduce you to an absolutely breathtaking place that my husband, toddler and I stumbled upon because of an unprecedented snow storm in Ireland. We had to change our plans and head north instead of south from Dublin to avoid unsafe road conditions. This adventure took us to Connemara National Park, about an hour and 25 minutes northwest of Galway. The rugged scenery includes mountains, bogs, coastline and forests. It is truly a stunning place and is something I now include on every Ireland itinerary I create for my clients.

Located along the beautiful western coastline, Galway captivates visitors with its charming cobblestone streets, traditional pubs and a thriving arts scene.
