Best Things to do in Edinburgh, Scotland

Scotland is nothing short of magical. It's history is so vast and incredibly old that it's hard to wrap my American brain around. Each structure has been standing where it is for hundreds of years and everywhere you look there is a story to tell. The people are friendly and curious. The city is easy to navigate and you can reach all the attractions on foot, which is great if you are afraid of driving on the left side of the road (like me).

My Luxurious Stay at The Balmoral Edinburgh

Curated by
Katie Larsen
Situated in the heart of Edinburgh, The Balmoral Hotel is more than just a place to stay. It's an experience steeped in history, elegance and luxury. Nestled at the east end of Princes Street, the much-loved Balmoral Edinburgh boasts a central location with views of Edinburgh Castle, the Old Town and Arthur's Seat. The hotel is conveniently situated next to Waverley Station, making it an easy hotel to check into if arriving via train from London or other parts of Scotland. The building’s elegant clock tower always runs three minutes fast (except on Hogmanay, when it brings in the New Year). It may seem a strange custom, but it’s a good way to stop people from missing trains.
