Egypt is a destination rooted deep in history and culture that dates back further than almost anywhere else in the world. Home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World (The Great Pyramid of Giza), the Nile River and the bustling city of Cairo, there are endless sites to see. Cruise from Luxor to Aswan on a Nile River Boat to see temples and tombs of pharaohs or enjoy sandy beaches and the most stunning colors of fish and coral in Sharm El Sheikh. Be one of the first to tour the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo – expected to open in spring 2024 – and explore the Khan el-Khalili market at night for unique pottery, textiles and trinkets. Alexandria is a must-see city with a European feel from across the Mediterranean. Here are some Egypt travel tips to help make the most of your trip!

Egypt holds a special place in my heart for several reasons. Seeing the ancient sites in person was a whole different ballgame compared to just reading about them — it felt like stepping into a history book. The culture is so vibrant, and getting to dive into it alongside super welcoming locals made the whole trip extra special. Plus, you can't go to Egypt and not try the falafel — it's seriously amazing. Every day there felt like a new adventure!

From the moment I arrived, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. A delightful surprise awaited me in my suite — Chocolate Heart cakes, red roses and birthday-themed pillowcases, making my late birthday celebration extra special. The hotel is located along the Nile River. It boasts pyramid views during the sunset and is appropriate for accommodating families, as well as solo female travelers. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Egypt!
