When it comes to finding the ultimate winter wonderland for skiing enthusiasts, there are a few destinations that stand out above the rest. These resorts offer not only pristine slopes but also breathtaking scenery, top-notch amenities and a variety of runs suitable for skiers of all levels. In early April 2024, I enjoyed spring skiing at AspenSnowmass and did more than 10 site inspections. While there are so many wonderful hotels in Aspen, only a handful are proper ski-in-out. The Little Nell is the only ski-in-out hotel at Ajax Mountain. Located at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola, the service is top-notch and the whole experience is luxurious. From spacious King Rooms with mountain views to residences with up to four-bedrooms, comfort is top priority. The Viceroy and Limelight are wonderful ski-in-out options at Snowmass and the Ritz-Carlton is perfect for ski-in-out access to Aspen Highlands.

Aspen is a fantastic destination that has so many things to offer. All seasons offer plenty of activity from skiing in the winter to white water rafting and hiking in the summer, it is important to find time to slow down and enjoy the beauty of this mountain town. Traveling with your pet friends can be difficult at times. I have definitely gotten a few "looks" when bringing my dog Sunny into Restaurants or on the plane with me. If you're looking for a pet-friendly destination, look no further than Aspen. Not only do many accommodations allow animals, they view them as a member of your family. It is such a great all-season destination to travel to with your furry friends!

Aspen is one of those places I keep coming back to. To me, it's just as special in the Summer as it is in the Winter. Whether hiking to Maroon Bells, biking along the Rio Grande Trail or skiing one of the four beautiful mountains, Aspen is undeniably gorgeous. Fantastic hotels, shopping, food/wine and art galleries are all within a small, walkable downtown with lots to do.

The winter in Aspen is truly magical. It is a great for a winter escape with something for everyone including skiing, world-class dining, spas, shopping, art and enough views for all to take in. Staying in the town on Aspen is one of my favorites because it is so convenient to Aspen Mountain. Enjoy a full day of skiing and end the day with an après ski cocktail to warm you up at the end of a long day. Be sure to take advantage of all the great restaurants the town as to offer.
