Asheville is the perfect destination whether you're looking for a couple's romantic getaway, a family trip, or something in between. It really lights up in the holidays, especially with The Biltmore. The Biltmore during Christmas is worth the trip alone - it is so magical. Next to The Biltmore is Biltmore village with a very walkable part of the town featuring great shops and restaurants. Downtown Asheville has even more restaurants and shops to offer. Don't forget to check out some of the Asheville-based breweries before leaving. The Asheville area has always been a favorite escape that’s not too far away for me! Coming from the beach, I desperately need some mountain time a couple times a year! This is a trip destination report, I’ll be going over what I did and experienced along the way, we can talk about hotels and places to stay when planning your trip. Many visitors, including myself, are drawn towards this city because of the downtown area that offers boutique shopping, electric neighborhoods, and its beer town atmosphere. Nestled within its borders is also the infamous Biltmore Estate that offers a fantastic view of the mountain landscape where you can get away and relax.

I love a tropical beach vacation and wandering the cobblestone streets of Edinburgh, but taking a road trip will always give me a rush of freedom and exploration.
