    Reschio

If you’ve ever questioned whether dreams came true, stay at Reschio, in the Umbiran countryside. The 11th-century castle has quite the history, remnants of which are beautifully integrated in the estate’s current design. The Bathhouse, for instance, is housed in the former wine cellars. Plunge in steaming salt-water pools surrounded by stone ceilings and walls before stopping by the nearby hammam and sauna. Reschio even partnered with a medical specialist to design the heavenly treatments held in the exclusive, millennia-old space.

You’ll love the secret nooks and crannies scattered throughout; every corner seems to have history. Take the dovecotes in the old ramparts. These intimate spaces are now primed for a secluded candlelit dinner near the fire. Swim in the outdoor pool, flanked by cypress trees and overlooking Reschio’s vineyards and olive groves. The property’s food and wine alone make it worth visiting. Expect farm-to-table everything. (Foraging is big here.) Reschio raises its own chicken for eggs, produces its own extra virgin olive oil, makes its own wine and even grows its own wheat, which it then sends to a nearby watermill to be ground into flour. Don’t miss a cooking masterclass at the Accademia di Cucina della Bottega. And if you want a bit more space, consider booking one of the property’s eight gorgeous residences, all former farmhouses, masterfully restored.

    Fora Perks:

    • $100 hotel / resort credit, breakfast daily, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

    The Mercer

The Mercer, in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, is where savvy locals go for a staycation. It’s an effortlessly cool, discreet, serene spot to unwind in style. There are 73 tastefully minimalist rooms spread across six floors. You’ll love the soaring ceilings and giant windows that flood the open spaces with tons of natural light. The vibe is subtle harmony, with soothing color palettes and stylish restraint, courtesy of French designer and architect Christian Liaigre.

Reserve the hotel’s private workout room to fit in a sweat session, or take advantage of guest access at a nearby luxury gym. Afterward, reward yourself at Sartiano’s, the hotel’s subterranean Italian restaurant. It’s a handsome, buzzy space serving up some of the city’s best handmade pasta. You must order the fresh focaccia and Caesar salad, a delicate layering of crisp romaine leaves showered in Parmesan and dressed in a tahini-infused, light but satisfying dressing. Then head to famed skincare maven Barbara Sturm’s SoHo space, where she offers an exclusive facial created solely for Mercer guests.

    Fora Perks:

    • Hotel credit, a welcome amenity, $30 daily breakfast credit, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

    Casa Monti Roma

The ultra-talented designer Laura Gonzalez is behind Casa Monti’s aesthetic magic. She wanted to make the 26-room boutique gem feel like a home, something organically integrated with its local Roman neighborhood. And that she did: Nearby, you’ll find independent galleries, shops and artisan workshops. Casa Monti itself embodies its surroundings' artistic, bohemian vibrancy. Sprezzatura — a type of effortless grace or tasteful carelessness — is the name of the game here.

Expect vibrant floral wallpaper and custom prints, a cheerful color palette (lots of pastel pinks, yellows and greens), bespoke objets d’art, sleek marble bathrooms (equipped with Susanne Kauffmann amenities, no less) and tons of charm. Head to the all-day Casa Monti Bar for pistachio croissants, a delectable lunch or aperitivo. Dine on housemade pasta and seasonal specialties at Casa Monti Ristorante. After dinner, head up to Casa Monti’s famed rooftop, where you’ll sit at royal-blue café tables while sipping creative cocktails (we love the Panettoni, a festive gin concoction flavored with honey and amaretto) and nibbling on regional meats, cheese and housemade focaccia.

    Fora Perks:

    • €100 hotel credit for 2+ nights, a welcome bottle of Champagne, breakfast daily, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

Pine Cay is a private island bordering one of the world’s largest barrier reefs. This is fantastic news, especially considering that the resort’s all-inclusive rates include a daily snorkeling expedition. All gourmet meals, afternoon tea (which includes Ladurée treats) and numerous watersports like paddleboarding and kayaking are also included.

Stay in one of 12 beachfront rooms and suites, all of which epitomize a breezy, tropical-chic aesthetic: lots of pale wood, turquoises, whites and blues. Treat yourself to a treatment at Sand Dollar Spa, where Pine Cay’s resident Balinese masseuse Anix will work her magic. Treatments incorporate soothing ingredients like hydrating coconut oil or a body scrub infused with papaya and pineapple extracts.

    Fora Perks:

    • A welcome bottle of wine, a private sunrise breakfast or sunset dinner, a 30-minute neck and shoulder massage or private kayak tour and an extended check-in/out whenever possible.

This Turkish resort does personalization at its finest. Select your preferred pillow type and room scent. Choose from sleek, Aegean-chic suites, lagunas (which, as their name implies, border a lagoon) and villas. Wander among art works by notable creators like Refik Anadol and Bernar Venet. Head to the spa with holistic treatments that incorporate ancient healing techniques (Reiki, acupuncture) and Ayurvedic medicine.

Indulgence is also welcome here, of course, especially with Maxx’s on-site chocolatier and ice cream parlor. The property takes gastronomy very seriously, as evidenced by the impressive array of restaurants, including an outpost of Wolfgang Puck’s legendary Spago. Families will love the modern, genuinely cool Maxxi Land kids’ club, where babies to 12-year-olds are well taken care of in a bright, airy space that looks like it belongs in a Restoration Hardware for Kids magazine.

    Fora Perks:

    • $100 hotel credit, welcome amenities, complimentary airport transfer upon arrival, complimentary ritual at Scorpios beach club when available, breakfast daily, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

Everything Dwarika’s does is grounded in the preservation and celebration of Nepal’s nature and culture. At the Kathmandu location especially, you’ll love the intricate woodcarvings and craftsmanship. Both resorts emphasize a connection between nature and self, especially the resort, which sits on a Himalayan mountaintop. Hindu Vedic scriptures, Buddhist medicine and ancient Himalayan knowledge have informed everything from the food to the architecture to the overall guiding philosophy. At both properties, expect organic, locally sourced food and cozy accommodations built using traditional methods and decorated with natural local fabrics.

    Fora Perksat Dwarika’s Resort:

    • 50-minute massage for two, spa amenities, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

    Fora Perks at Dwarika’s Hotel:

For a truly local experience in Porto, Portugal, stay at the 68-room Vila Foz, housed in the centuries-old Casa Palaciana. The décor exemplifies cozy elegance. Rooms and suites are modern, with a regal, palatial yet modern feel: clean lines, dim lighting, marble bathrooms with giant soaking tubs.

Food is big here. Let the chef cook for you during a private culinary experience, or opt for a personally curated foodie picnic in City Park (or both!).  Explore the city with local artists (the hotel can arrange this), yacht along the Douro River and retreat to the spa, where an indoor pool, Turkish bath, sauna and ocean-inspired treatments await.

    Fora Perks:

    • 30-minute spa experience for 3+ nights, a welcome bottle of Port, breakfast daily, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

Contemporary rooms come equipped with heated floors and fireplaces — plus views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay. Historic rooms give Old World glamour and faintly nautical vibes, with sprawling porches and panoramic windows.

Don’t miss morning yoga or any of the wellness-forward activities on site, like hikes and guided mediation. If you really want to go deep, try the integrative medicine program, which includes various holistic workshops and lectures. Balance it all out with creative cocktails and microviews at Farley, and with a seasonal meal at the stylish Sula, where miso features prominently on the menu (sign us up immediately).
