Situated where Yala National Park meets the Indian Ocean on Sri Lanka's southeastern coast, Wild Coast Tented Lodge immerses guests in both luxury and wilderness. Recognized with a UNESCO Design Award, the lodge's architecture pays homage to the area's famed leopards with its cluster of canvas Cocoons arranged around watering holes. For travelers eager to experience the raw beauty of nature without sacrificing comfort, this retreat offers exhilarating game drives, guided nature walks, and stylish spaces that blend seamlessly with the surroundings.

Rooms and suites

Featuring an expedition-inspired aesthetic, the 28 canvas Cocoons at Wild Coast Tented Lodge offer a high-end retreat in the heart of the wilderness. Each suite boasts vaulted ceilings and double-height glass facades that provide panoramic jungle views. Interiors include four-poster beds draped in fine linens, freestanding copper bathtubs, and handcrafted furnishings reminiscent of a bygone era. Some Cocoons come with private plunge pools surrounded by nature. For families or groups, the Family Cocoon Pool Suite connects a spacious Cocoon with an adjoining Urchin tent via a wooden footbridge, offering additional sleeping space for children and a shared experience without sacrificing privacy.
