Things to do in London England

Go watch a show: London has an excellent theatre scene. There is no shortage of shows to choose from that you could enjoy. Shows at the Other Palace is always an excellent.

Watch the changing of the guards: There is something so very special about seeing Buckingham Palace and experiencing the changing of the guards, which is when the king's guard hands over responsibility for protecting the palace to a new set of guards. It is highly recommended to arrive early so that you can get a good spot. The ceremony is about 45 minutes long.

Another great activity is the London Eye, which is the world's largest observation wheel. It has 32 capsules attached to the ferris wheel. Those capsules represent London and its 31 boroughs. A ride takes about 30 minutes to complete. You can also get a great view of the ferris wheel from the Waterloo Bridge.

Harrods is another spot not to miss. It is arguably one of the most beautiful department stores to experience. With every high-end brand you could possibly imagine and absolutely stunning displays, it's is a must-see.

Carnaby Soho is another fun shopping spot. With its small cobblestoned streets it feels like you are walking in a cool back alley, but with over 150 different brands, as well as restaurants and cafés. There is something for everyone.

If you enjoy being outside, Regent's Park has a ton to offer, especially in the late spring / early summer, when the flowers are in full bloom. There are also row boats, tennis and the occasional music festival.

If you like high-end fashion, Bond Street is the Rodeo Drive of London. Even if your wallet isn't in the market for that type of fashion experience, it's worth a walk around to see the incredible displays the stores put up.

For a quaint spot, the London Review Book Shop is an adorable book shop that also has a cake shop attached: win-win.

Breakfast

You can go to Le Deli Robuchon for the famous cube croissant, a square-shaped croissant with filling in the middle. They sell out quickly so make sure to go early! Notable mention on this location is they have a food bar with a ton of delicious lunch options.

Where The Pancakes Are is a great spot if you are in the mood for pancakes. This is an all-day breakfast place. The Banana Marshmallow was divine.

Lunch

Farmer J. Healthy and delicious: nothing is processed. Great salad options.

The Magazine: has a super cool museum vibe and is located in Kensington Garden. The burgers are next level.

Cocktails-Hokus Pokus: this underground bar is a showstopper. The presentation of the drinks is an experience in and of itself.

Blame Gloria: Located in the heart of Covent Garden. The wild decor and party vibe makes for an incredible evening. Lots of signature cocktails and some great alcohol-free options as well.

Dinner

Whitcomb's: if you stay at the Londoner Hotel, Whitcomb's is on the property. The dinner there is DIVINE. The Lobster Thermidor was incredible. Highly recommend!

Bluebird Café Chelsea: There are two restaurants in one at this location. The street level portion is the more casual café dining experience. Upstairs is the more upscale dinner-type restaurant. The burrata starter was excellent. Had the crab linguini for as a main course and it did not disappoint.

Dessert

We highly recommend No. 79 in Soho. They make adorable chocolate mousse cakes that look like little bears. It is almost too cute to eat. But once you dig in, you won't regret it.
