The Great Outdoors

Great Smokey Mountains National Park boasts 150 hiking trails, including the original Appalachian trail. Waterfalls, wildlife and vistas await you around every corner. You can also take a scenic drive on Newfound Cap Road with many highlights along the way. You can opt to take a four mile hike to Ramses Cascades, the tallest waterfalls in the Smokies.

Back in town, pay a visit to the Gatlinburg Skypark and take the Skylift to the very top. Take in the views from the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America. A truly unforgettable experience!

Another great way to take in the abundance of nature is a rafting tour with award winning SMO Rafting. This family owned company offers the longest Whitewater trip on the Pigeon River.

Ober Mountain Ski Area and Adventure Park

This is way more than just a ski resort! Ober Mountain offers year round activities for all ages. In the warmer months, enjoy mountain biking, wildlife encounters, coaster, summer tubing, the alpine slide and more. During winter, you can expect all the usual winter sports, plus their Snow Zone, a fun play area for the younger crowd.

There's plenty of fun to be had for kids and teens who need a little rest from all the action. Spend an afternoon at the Hollywood Star Cars Museum, or the Gatlinburg Pinball Museum.
