Things to do in Eureka Springs, AR
Shop local
From local art to clothing to a store just for dogs, Eureka Springs offers something for everyone. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, the downtown area is set to a beautiful backdrop. Be sure to wear comfy shoes, there are stairs and hills to navigate!
Hike locally
Lake Leatherwood offers several different trails with beautiful scenery to take in. 18 miles of trails are made up of 10 different trails that meander along the lake shore and into the woods. Start with a short, family-friendly 1/2 mile hike, get more adventurous with individual trails that run up to 3 miles or put them together for an even more challenging hike.
Disc golf local
Eureka Springs Brewery offers a surprisingly challenging, tree-laden 9-hole course. Throw in for a bit and then settle in for a house-brewed beer or kombucha. The Farm is closer to Holiday Island and is a lengthy, challenging course that pays homage to Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead... Which, needless to say, has its own unique flavor.
Explore local
The Eureka Springs Open Air Tram Tour is a great way to see the history and architecture of the town.
Visit the Thorncrown Chapel to see an architecturally stunning chapel set in the woods of the Ozark.
Go ziplining! Eureka Springs has two zip line companies that offer an adrenaline rush with a truly unique scenic background.
Visit the Historic Crescent Hotel for wine and beer tastings, spa services, live music and more!
Places to eat & drink in Eureka Springs, AR
Breakfast and coffee spots
Mainstreet Cafe has the BEST French Toast, and the service is quick and friendly.
Eureka Springs Coffee House sells locally roasted coffee, baked goods, local craft beer and a diverse breakfast menu.
Eureka Daily Roast not only serves fantastic lattes (the best honey vanilla chai latte around), but their Italian sodas are also delicious and refreshing on a hot afternoon of shopping.
Lunch and dinner spots
Local Flavor is a must-stop in Eureka Springs! Their fettuccini alfredo is phenomenal and you can't beat the service.
The Rockin' Pig features burgers and steaks made from the chef's own ranch-grown Angus and Wagyu beef. Pro tip: Try the smokehouse brisket nachos. You won't regret it.
The Rowdy Beaver is nothing fancy, but good quality home cooking, with great burgers and sandwiches. They have a location downtown and then one on the outskirts, so it's a great stop for after a hike at Lake Leatherwood.
