Day 1: La Rochelle
Explore and get familiar
No better way to visit the South-Western town of La Rochelle than by starting from the beautiful harbor Vieux-Port, dominated by two looming medieval fortresses that house a museum and lookout point.
Aquarium La Rochelle: In the city center, near the old harbor, find one of the best private aquariums in Europe.

Day 2: Île de Ré
Visit the Little Island: Stroll through Saint Martin, one of the busiest town centers and ports in Île de Ré. Home to the biggest port on the Island as well as a bustling city center with plenty of restaurants and shops. It’s a perfect place to start your one busy day on Ile de Ré.

Day 3: Rochefort-en-Terre
Take a trip up north
The magnificent village of Rochefort-en-Terre is only three hours away from La Rochelle. It is without doubt one of the most beautiful small towns with character that will take you on a journey through time.
Off-the-beaten tracks
The best way to fully appreciate the site is to take a casual stroll in the morning. In the afternoon, to escape the crowds, head to the shores of Moulin Neuf lake for a walk that goes around Rochefort-en-Terre. It should take two hours to walk the six kilometers along the yellow-marked path.

Visit this local chocolate shop of L'art Gourmand. Enjoy delicious artisan chocolate treats and artisan biscuits.
Day 4: Nantes
Castle of the dukes of Brittany
Located in downtown Nantes, this is one of the most important monuments of the city's heritage.
Explore
Overlooking the river, there is a magical museum called 'Les Machines de l'Île' which is absolutely worth visiting. This child-friendly interactive workshop is home to a variety of mechanical creatures displayed.
Day 5: Botanical Garden

This botanical garden offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, providing a serene and immersive experience.
