Things to do in Norwich, CT
The Norwich Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course that is owned by the city of Norwich. Weekend tee times are as early as 6 am during the summer! On site is a pro shop and a bar and grill (The Caddyshack) that is open to the public.
Mohegan Park is a 384.80-acre park that is a short drive from downtown Norwich. This park includes two ponds, a beach, many walking trails, a playground, disk golf, a lakeside pavilion and a rose garden.
Another way to explore Norwich is the Walk Norwich Trails. These trails are more urban in nature and are themed. Two favorites are the Millionaires Triangle Trail and the Benedict Arnold Trail.
Places to eat & drink in Norwich, CT
Harp and Dragon is located in the harbor area and is a fabulous Irish pub. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The rooftop terrace is a must when the weather is cooperative.
Kensington's and Ascot's are located in The Spa at Norwich Inn. Both are comfortable and elegant. The atmosphere is relaxed and serene.
Sweet Momma's is a small hole in the wall that expanded from an even smaller hole in the wall. Sweet Momma's is a wonderful place to pick up a sweet treat or a breakfast sandwich. Everything is made on the premises. The staff is welcoming and very helpful.
