Madrid was the home of my childhood, yet I hadn't returned in ages. There is so much familiar in the architecture, the warm nature of the people and the energy of the city. Today, Madrid is really having a moment. It is the capital of Spain with over 7 million people in the greater metro area, however, it doesn't have the stains that many other capital cities do. Late August 2023, my husband, our grown daughter and her boyfriend visited the South of France and stayed at several partner properties. Of them, the most unique and memorable experience was at Baumanière Hotel and Spa.
