My travel style
I’m all about off-the-beaten-path and far-flung, awe-inspiring destinations. Remote luxury is my thing. I love Awasi Patagonia, Three Camel Lodge in the Gobi Desert and the Great Plains Conservation camps in Botswana. I am fascinated by luxury hotels that blend into a desolate landscape, the perfect balance of modern design and environmental stewardship.
Favorite hotels
Recently returned from:
Scouting Morocco.
Hanging out in London.
Slug-on-the-beach in the D.R.
Dreaming of:
Namibia.
Galapagos.
Raja Ampat.
Mozambique.
One thing I can't travel without...
My giant leather "bucket" bag. I throw everything in there – when in doubt, f**k it, just chuck it in the bucket.
Two truths, one lie:
One time, I chartered a plane last-minute in Ethiopia.
I used to have a pet turkey.
I’ve met the Pope.
