About

Equal opportunity pasta lover and travel who begged for a T+L subscription at 10. Spend two-thirds of the year in Brooklyn and the rest adventuring around the world. Often in search of seafood.

Home airports

JFK.

My travel style

Comfortable in both cities and nature, yet happiest near the sea. I love to seek out boutique hotels and off-the-beaten-path experiences while still appreciating the classics. Tend toward modern, laidback luxury over palace properties – though they have their places! I would never turn down a day at a rocky beach in Italy, complete with plenty of vongole, followed by a sundowner spritz watching the sunset. I'm often in search of a new adventure, whether learning to ski in Switzerland or overnighting with elephants in rural Laos.

Favorite hotels

Recently returned from:

  • Boating between Procida and Ischia, with a stop in Naples for some pizzas.

  • Searching for the best cheeses and produce at the Provençal market in Antibes over a two-week span, with side trips as far afield as Monaco and Saint Tropez.

  • Catching up with friends over drinks at Soho House in Juhu, Mumbai, before attending a wedding in the lake city of Udaipur.

  • Taking a last-minute trip to Australia to catch the last few days of spring weather and a few waves at Manly and Bondi.

Dreaming of:

  • Uganda and/or Rwanda for the mountain gorillas.

  • Traveling the path of the Silk Road through Central Asia.

  • A trip on the Orient Express from Paris to Venice.

  • Sand dunes of the Sossusvlei in Namibia.

One thing I can't travel without...

Eye mask.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I traveled to China without a visa.

  2. I once ran up a 1000 CHF bar tab in St. Moritz.

  3. I have booked multiple same-day international flights.
