Utah’s national parks - The Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion - form one of the most stunning collections of natural landscapes in the United States. Known as the “Mighty 5,” these parks showcase dramatic red rock formations, towering cliffs, natural arches, and sweeping desert vistas. Each park offers its own unique geological wonders, but together, they embody the rugged beauty and adventure of the American Southwest.

Sitting 5 feet away from a pack of lions or watching a mother elephant care for its baby is something words truly cannot describe. Visiting South Africa, including the culture and diversity of Cape Town, is a trip you will never regret taking (even if the flight is VERY VERY long!).

Peru is a country in western South America known for its rich cultural history and stunning landscapes, from the Andes Mountains to the Amazon rainforest. It was once the heart of the Inca Empire, the largest and most advanced civilization in pre-Columbian America. The Incas, renowned for their engineering, architecture, and agricultural innovation, built iconic sites like Machu Picchu. Their empire thrived until the Spanish conquest in the 16th century, which dramatically reshaped the region’s history and culture. Today, Peru preserves a blend of indigenous traditions and colonial influences.

Seeing the Northern Lights is absolutely breathtaking. Visiting the Lapland region for its breathtaking Arctic landscapes and unique winter adventures is something I will cherish forever. From the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi to Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, you must experience everything this winter wonderland has to offer. It felt great checking this off my bucket list!

In January of 2024, I stayed at the beautiful Marquis Los Cabo in San Jose del Cabo. This amazing all-inclusive, adults only, no timeshare resort was the perfect mother daughter getaway! I was continually impressed by the hotel atmosphere, staff, and food and can't wait to stay here again!

Switzerland, while most see it as a smaller European country, it has a lot to offer during the winter months. From skiing to traditional cheese fondue, each little town brings it's own culture and offers activities for the whole family.

Acadia National Park is the highest rocky headlands along the Atlantic coastline. Situated on Mount Desert Island, Isle au Haut, Schoodic Peninsula and 17 other coastal islands, this park is extremely unique. The popular town of Bar Harbor offers amazing food, featuring free seafood including famous Maine lobster rolls!
