When Fora was founded a year ago (happy birthday to us!) by three travel entrepreneurs – Henley Vazquez, Jake Peters and Evan Frank – it all started with a big idea. That big idea was driven by the possibility of a more modern, more inclusive and more tech-enabled future for the travel industry. And we got to work on building it.
This month, we are honored to be recognized for this future building – if you will – by Condé Nast Traveler, one of the world's leading travel publications. Fora was named one of the ‘Bright Ideas in Travel’ for 2022, which recognizes the companies transforming the travel industry today.
We’re joined by 55 of the boundary-pushing, noise-making and truly exciting travel companies that share our vision for a better future – including trailblazers in sustainability, accessibility, diversity, tech and much more.
At just one year old, being named among key industry disruptors like SpaceX and Virgin Galactic is a major "pinch-me" moment for Fora. The accolade also serves as meaningful recognition of the positive change we're effecting in an already established – and, if you ask us, notoriously antiquated – space.
In other words, it validates our why.
By removing primary pain points and barriers to entry, Fora makes it easy for anyone to become (and succeed as) a travel advisor. Why? By doing so, we’re building a more inclusive and progressive travel advisor space. And while we're just getting started (and have a long way to go), Fora's future – as well as that of our advisors and the industry as a whole – is bright.
"For the very first time, we're honoring people and businesses who are tackling these issues with fresh, creative thinking to bring us into the future." - Condé Nast Traveler
(And, in the words of Lizzo, we say: "It’s about damn time.")
