Advisor - Savoring San José: 3-Day Guide to Food, Culture & Fun
Curator’s statement

There are places in the world that have the ability to alter one’s brain chemistry, that exist at the forefront of one’s thoughts, and reside deep within one’s core. For me, that place exists on the Sea of Cortez in San José del Cabo. From countless family vacations, to spring breaks with friends, and planning my own wedding, it is safe to say that I might be the leader of the San Jose del Cabo fan club. The food scene and culture, beautiful ocean views, and friendly locals all add to the magic. So after traveling to San José for 20 + years, planning personal trips and trips for friends, and planning my own wedding, I know the area like the back of my hand, but I really can never get enough.

Enjoy drinks at Jardin Secreto

The perfect pre- or post-dinner spot for drinks surrounded by beautiful plants, Mexican lanterns, and strung lights right across from La Lupita.

Brunch at Flora Farms

Spend an evening at Acre Resort

Escape to another world of relaxation, culture, and an unmatched farm-to-table culinary experience. This boutique hotel offers guests and visitors an unparalleled dining experience as it is set right on a farm.

Sip on a spicy margarita, order the cheddar biscuits, and watch beautiful peacocks walk by your table while a DJ transports you to a beach club in Tulum.

Golf at Palmilla

Take a break from the tacos and tequila and enjoy a round of golf with ocean views at Palmilla Golf Club. Legend has it, you might even see some fun wildlife!

Spend the day (or night) at Hilton Los Cabos

Location-wise, the Hilton resides in the corridor between San José and Cabo San Lucas, so it is the perfect middle ground.

Even if you decide to stay elsewhere, the Hilton offers 10/10 spa services and has four restaurants on property with their own private, swimmable beach. Opting for a day pass to sit by the infinity pools with pina coladas in hand is always a good idea.

Dine at Blue Fish

Local hole-in-the-wall fish spot in the heart of Palmilla neighborhood in San José. Their ceviche is life-changing. No frills or fuss, this place is always a go-to lunch spot after soaking up the sun all day on the beach.

Need to know

No need to worry about currency conversion, language barriers, or transportation. San Jose and Cabo San Lucas are tourist-friendly, with many locals speaking English and using US dollars.

You can use Ubers to get around town, too.
